Hi everyone, Weds & Thurs were NSD's spent £21.77 yesterday as had friend over for dinner and got a few bits. Happy with this though as usually when money is a bit tight I become a complete hermit so am very conscious of trying to see people but not get sucked into expensive nights.
Just me & dh tonight so having leftover curry from freezer and left over wine and beer from last night so a NSD today.
Have a good wknd all :beer:NST#14/20 -
The last few days have been NSD for me but been able to have a good route through the freezers and cupboards and done a stockpile list.
Based on this done a shop for the Month to top up bits and got the sarnie stuff in for little ones lunchboxes this week.
Had a few Money off coupons so grand spend was £88.17 after a saving of £5.22
may need a top up later in the week for milk bread but ive withdrawn £20 and put that in my purse so im not temped to just get the debit card out and spend money sitting pretty in the bank.
Not a bad start ide have normally blown £200-£300 for the month by nowJanuary Grocery Challenge - £259.44 / £375
( £259.44 / £4500 for year)

Everyone is doing great so far. :T
I'm reporting a spend of £68.13 today, food for the week ahead for the three of us, plus some wild bird food. I won't put in my signature because I use YNAB and I'm happy to keep track of my grocery spending in there.
Total grocery spends this month: £68.13 / £400[FONT="][FONT="] Fighting the biggest battle of my life.Started 30th January 2018.

£11.20 for us so far. Only had two small shops at Ald! to pick up a few basics though we'll need to do a bigger shop next week.
Have done quite well at inventing super quick meals when we were knackered or up against the clock (baked potatoes, couscous with spiced veg, easy freezer meals of chicken and hash browns with homemade coleslaw).
Also very pleased to use up some gooseberries and rhubarb in a gingery oat crisp crumble. Stashed five portions in the freezer for the next couple of months :Ta penny picker upper. Did a meal plan and shopping list last night and then whizzed round Aldi and B&M this morning. Spent a grand total of £19.50.
The original budget was £70 so that's £50.50 left for the next 2 weeks. Have evrything I need until next weekend apart from maybe some extra dog food.0 -
Tried to update this last night but the Internet clearly didn't want me to budget - my wifi went down so I couldn't comment here, my bank website went down so I couldn't get to it on my phone, AND the website I use for budget tracking (clearcheckbook) went down! Reporting a spend of £34.91 so far.0

First Mr T spend of the month and it was £27. so I am off and running for July.
A NSD for me is when I spend nothing. Not cash or card spend. But I do not include dd or standing orders or business spends.
Have not counted them the last few months. Am focused on trying to keep grocery spend down. Our freezers are heaving with food so this should not be as hard as I make it. I am useless at menu planning.
Have had a wildly busy but nsd and feel exhausted but on target for my jobs.0
