Any feedback as of yet? I'm still not sure why HR called instead of a member of the management team.

Not yet but the closing date was only at the end of last week.

I suspect it will come to nothing, sorry but I'm a realist.

Small update, I called the HR department today to confirm that I did apply for the new role, the lady advised that I had met the shortlist for interview. Pretty quick going, I only applied right on the deadline and I'm short-listed already.

shortlist - odds are improving - chances are others wont already have had an interview at that organisation. so make sure you swot up on any clues
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

Surely the whole thing's a farce? Another shortlist for another interview for what looks like the same outcome.

I hope not Cotta, the last interview I felt I was very strong at and HR indicated the company felt this too. I'm not sure how I can best my first performance?

don't best it - repeat it (maybe slightly tweak it to cover the new jobs responsibilities)

Thanks, still worried as I've been there before and this could be for nothing.

Very fast shortlisting turnaround, that has surprised me.
