Absolutely terrified and in a jam

great to see you being so positive. I know a few people who've taken in M-F lodgers or the students. It has pretty much been fine for all of them and you can have students who literally come for a week so although less money, less of a commitment so you can try it out.
I'd start renting a room ASAP rather than waiting for September - if you had a M-F lodger then you'd only need to have room sharing on 4 nights of the week and it would help you not increase your debts further.
Great news on the parking space at your house - sounds another great plan. Bound to also make your house look more lived in so deter burglars!

I saw in an earlier post that you do admin work. Would it be possible to find some audio-transcription work you could do from home in the evenings? I have to admit I have no idea how easy that sort of work is to find, but i'm pretty sure I've read diaries on here previously of people who do it.
Perhaps it would be worth a post in the 'Up Your Income' section, just to see if any of that sort of work is around atm?
Edit: Also, do you use cashback websites?Mortgage when started: £330,995

I'll look into the evening work stuff. I do use cashback websites - well I did when I was spending but I've refrained for the last 3 weeks
I do surveys but to be honest I find them so incredibly tiresome and most of them get me to answer 2 min of questions only to say 'we have enough participants that meet your criteria'LBM 18/06/15 - [STRIKE]£20,276.64[/STRIKE]

Well, I remembered I had a cherished number plate that has been sat on retention for the last 2 years (due to be renewed for £25 in August). I went onto a website and they have offered me £400 for the plate - cash buy. Another site offered £700 but I have to wait for it to sell to get the money.
I am going to check one more place then go with the £400 if that's the best cash deal. I'll throw that at my debtsLBM 18/06/15 - [STRIKE]£20,276.64[/STRIKE]

Thats a nice stroke of luck! Pay it towards whatever has the highest interest rate or an OD if you have one.Sealed Pot Challenge:

I was going to do a CC but I've noticed that I have £170 ay 0% with Very that end in October so I want to get that paid. I also have £1252 that 0% ends at the end of November so I think I need to throw everything at those at the moment - the APR will be 34.9%:mad:
Or do I still go for the Barclaycard that is due to end it's 0% soon too? The APR isn't as high. I haven't entered a DMP yet and I just wonder what the likelyhood of Very or Barclaycard freezing interest is? Logically I shoud pay the money off on the one that won't freeze interest - am I right?
Thanks again to everyone for your help and motivation - it truly means a great deal to meLBM 18/06/15 - [STRIKE]£20,276.64[/STRIKE]

Personally I'd pay off Very and close the account. The interest rate of 34.9% is horrendous. Definitely don't use again.
You seem very upbeat at the moment and doing as much as you can to reduce your debt. I'm sure letting out your parking space would be brilliant for someone - station car parks are really expensive these days.
Also good luck with finding someone to rent your DDs room; that should being in some money to pay off your debts.
For the order to pay off your debts try snowballing them. There are several you can use - this is one I've used before: https://www.whatsthecost.com/snowball.
Good luck in reducing your debt.

Thanks, I'll start with Very. I have closed my Next account today so that's a start.
I am worried the upbeat me is just putting off the inevitable next month..... If I can just make it to Monday 6 July I can spend some time off looking at the DMP etc properly and coming to a decision on what I'm going to do. In the mean time I'll keep selling as much as I canLBM 18/06/15 - [STRIKE]£20,276.64[/STRIKE]
