  • Gosh, he wants all that to himself? Weird. I can understand needing a loading bay, but surely that would be round the back of the premises? Also l'm sure he would have had a legit way of giving HGVs access to his premises before even starting out in business. Weird, no idea what he wants. Probably a cokehead.

Let's not jump to bizarre conclusions.
  • Bizarre? The cap fits. I hinted at some desperate need in #20 and the bizarre world some ppl live in and in #21 she said he wants an entire layby to himself. Which puts a certain spin on how l'd judge him.

Space for 5 cars and 2 HGVs. lol.

    5 cars or 2 hgvs.

Talk about one and one makes three!
It's more likely that he believes the lay by should be for drivers using the shops on the parade.nothing more dramatic than that.
  • Ah i misread. But still, he seems to be really unfair. I thought loading bays were round the back.

Maybe he wants to discourage people completely, because if you get 1 regular parker, everyone else will get the same idea?

All i can say is: he's full of himself / driven by needs, and takes a dim view of an overstretched police force. What's it worth to you? Avoid him.
  • I probably don't need to say this, but on the mean streets, communication can be very elementary, animalistic, non-vocal. A serious threat can be conveyed subliminally to begin with. I would have moved on when the first incidents happened with him parking so close.

Edit: oh right i saw your edit to #25, you might have a point, that parking space = his customers.

He screamed at my husband to get out of his shop and confronted him as well as spitting in his face as he spoke.

    And your husband took this?

(I guess he didn't actually spit - more like sprayed as he was shouting...?)

What course of action would you suggest he have taken?

He did not have much choice ohreally. The shop has cctv. He did say to him "stop spitting in my face" and at that point the bully/coward told him "you don't know who you are dealing with"
