Well I am a little disappointed I didn't remember about the Perseid Meteors last night. Oh wellI hope all who watched them had a good view!
Get well soon all those who are poorly or achey, and all those kiddies who are. I hope tracyg gets her keyboard sorted out! Pigpen I love to see you coming on so well with your middle room! I bet the bunnies are looking forward to a romp around it lol! My Chegwin bunny says hi to them, he's not been neutered so I am sure he'd love to meet'em! Argh lil_me I hate it when delivery persons do that, when we got our current TV Curry's delivered it and took away not only the boxes but the instructions as well! We've muddled along somehow.IAAR/IAAMM/MFTMFAQ/IOA6BH0 -
Kitchen is looking lovely!!
Well it was... DD2 is now in there making a sandwich... *SOB!!*
Cleaned the oven, the worksurfaces, the cabinets (outside only) the hob, the floor and the fridge.
Wanted to post picture but can't find the cable to hook up the camera! With the computer cabinet gone for the time being, everything is boxed up!
Anyway: left to do:
Hoover high traffic area
clean toilet
ironing
go to shops to find storage containers to hold food stuff.
DD1 is sleeping as she is still on USA time.. Tried to wake her half an hour ago but it's awfully quiet up there so think she went back to sleep.
First fight of the day with DD2 over and done with.. one down, how many to go? This child is now 11, and gets in a right sulking huff everytime she gets told no. She then stomps off upstairs shouting nasty stuff at me..
today she only took 15 minutes to come back and say sorry. She's improving!! :rotfl:

Morning everyone,
Don't feel bad witchypoo - I've got to return a library book today as it's a one week loan and you can't renew them, so I've been in bed trying to finish it all - woke up at 8. I'm still not dressed, as I've been catching up on my emails, and I need to wash my hair. The book is still not finished, but I've cooked and eaten a fried egg on potato bread, and caught up on the thread, so will give myself the task of getting showered in a min, do one thing off the list, and then read a chapter as a reward. Library closes at 7 tonight so plenty of time really.
poohbear I'm really sorry to hear about your Dad - my thoughts are with you and I have my fingers crossed that everything turns out well for you.
lil-me that is disgraceful behaviour from those delivery guys - when we ordered our oven from Currys they took the old one away, fitted the new one, and even showed me how to use it!
pigpen that transformation is fantastic - I really wish that OH would do something about the room I'm sitting in, cos it's the biggest room in the flat (meant to be a lounge, but we can't use it as that) but has so much junk in it, that I can barely move. My Mum comes over very rarely, but every time she does, she says it has got worse and how do I live with it?!
STOP PROCRASTINATING MOUSE AND GET ON WITH IT! (wow - long word for this time in the morning).
See you all later,
sexymouse xxEnjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Right well they're being just as ignorant as we expected, DP rang them, oh we don't fit those cookers 'well why say on the website you do' and 'oh they should have taken the old one, sorry, nothing much we can do about it now, ring the council they might collect it'. Snotty complaint will be at their head office within the next few days! These were the same muppets who couldn't deliver a fridge freezer when Comet managed it no problem. I suppose I just have to be thankful my partner used to be an electrical engineer and knows what he's doing with it, many I know wouldn't have a clue!
Pigpen pleased to see the bunnies didn't get burried or flung by accident, I know once you're on a mission if it's not fastened down it gets flung and just had this 'oh no the bunnies' thought :rotfl:
Tracy have you thought of letting your little DS have a spare keyboard? When my DS2 was little it was the only way I got college work done, allow him to bash an old keyboard, made a racket but stopped him breaking mine or worse messing my work up!
sexymouse - give him a D day, D means dumped, if it's not SORTED by the day, it gets dumped outsideworked with my partner and his car crap!
Suppose with the cooker being out for longer I've managed to get it very clean under where it goes and down the sides aswell, got even more of the marks off, unfortunately there is some 'yellow' marks on the lino that will not come off, I think it's burnt actually but at least the cooker will sit on top of it but does smell nicer, kind of like a disinfectant factory! Oh and I need to decorate then put some sort of splashback thing up, can't get some of the marks (curry or tomato I think) off the wall.
Right, going with DP to get cable, need to call in somewhere myself on the way back. TTFN!One day I might be more organised...........

I put my old cylinder hoover on freecyle last night and this is one of the replies
Hi,

provide one.

And why is it people can't be polite  'we'll have them' in reply to baby toys, erm no you won't!!!Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
AnW'smum .. that is one of the reasons I am so reluctant to put anything on freecycle.. I am always really polite (and probably waffle far too much) when I am offering a home to someone elses junk.. and I am polite in my 'wanted' ad's as well.. but a lot are downright ignorant.. and why should a landlord provide a vacuum?? that is so cheeky!!! they probably wanted the landlord to provide a tv and bedding and towels as well!!!! Oh.. and how about a bit of room service? lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

I'm flagging now. Need to see what is left before I call it a day:
WM just spinning and lot on the line nearly dry
Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
Clean floors
Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round
Clean oven if you didn’t do it last week
clean sink
polish granite
Extra Mission
Choose one or more of:
- Clear today's pile from desk
- Go to allotment.
Mop I have an eco one from John Lewis which I love. Flat metal base like a plasters tool to which you velco micro cloth for washing (then goes in wash machine) and fluffy (sheepskin) one for dusting - dont use this much but good for doing walls ceiling occassionly, would be useful if you have laminate. Pole very long when extended.

Morning all
Poohbear, sending good wishes to your Dad.
Cleaned all the work surfaces, cupboard fronts, windowsills, table and appliances (small and large) in kitchen. Vacuumed floor. Fridge and freezer are quite tidy, quite full too so can't rearrange much. Will check them later in the week when we've used some more stuff up.
Cleaned living room surfaces and vacuumed. Cleaned computer desk (in hall) and vacuumed hallway.
Did one load of washing. Hung it out. Got it back in when it rained and hung it upstairs.0 -
For Goodness sake!!!! 70 posts already, have you not got houses to clean
Kitchen done, apart from floor and oven, will do oven tonight after it has been on and it is warm to clean with vinegar
Washing machine on, weather changeable today (what's new  )
Living room rug covered in dog hair and "bits", needs hoovering
Last day of kids' summer holiday :undecided Back to annoying alarm clock tomorrow
Going back now to read all the posts, hope you all have a good productive day :wave:0 -
Been to the shops. ON MY BIKE!! *proud of me*
Bought dog food, dog treats and a toy to hide the treats in. He's busy with that now trying to get the treats out, so hopefully that will keep him out of my sock basket for a bit.
Got a few storage containers that now hold the chocolate sprinkles (we eat them on sandwiches here in Holland) my porridge oats, and some other bits that usually floats in lose packages through the cupboards. :-)
mumoftwo I have been cleaning!!! :rotfl: although with me being away to the shops the oldest two who stayed home decided to make tosti's and now it's sticky melted cheese worktops again... Teenaged girls anyone? You can have them free of charge!
I'm having me a cuppa for now.0
