poohbear (((hugs))) am thinking of you and your Dad lots ((hugs))))

lil_me yes much cooler thankfully. And you have convinced me, for the next shop I promise to do it online and will try and plan in advance a bit for it. I reckon I will start an online list in the next few days and add to it as the week goes on. I suppose a benefit is you see the total before you actually pay. They keep sending me free delivery coupons I suppose I should use one

shell - I dunno if he was worried at leaving me at 35 weeks, but I am blimmin twitchy I can tell you! To fly back will take the best part of a day so he cant get back in a hurry really but I'm sure it will be fine anyway!

tracyg - yeah to be honest we both have pits of dread in or stomachs re the coming birth and the horrid first few sleep deprived weeks, we have been right ratty with each other lately.
Hope your Dad is doing ok. I know what you mean about taking little ones to the hospital. When I took mine to see my Dad I was just hoping they wouldnt start scrabbling about on the floor looking for lost crayons and stuff. In the end they were fine and they only got to go once because then DD got chicken pox anyway!

    AnW - great photos!

mermaid - sorry to hear your house purchase not going well. Getting a closed chain is a nightmare, isn't it. Hope it comes together for you soon

sexymouse - good luck with the waitressing position, let us know what they say!

pigpen - love the idea of being ahead of yourself going into the week - might try that next week. Can't believe the difference in that room, thats amazing :T

becca - YUCK!! I have very few nice storage jars tho I did treat myself to one for pasta from Debenhams (hang on will check online for similar.....nope can't fiond it on Debenhams but it looks like this http://www.philipmorris.uk.com/prdf.php?pid=321 but I am prettgy sure it was cheaper. Its plastic, I was afraid of dropping a glass one.

Have had a lovely day today :j

Got lots and lots done, nearly everything on my list and a couple of wee extras too! Kids were little stars all day and played really well with hardly any fighting. Only down point DS(4) who is 4 is a lazy sod when it comes to going the loo, he just can't be bothered and wets himself unless I harrass him to go, and when I do harrass him to go its a big argument every time. He's been out of nappies for well over 18 months and knows full well what to do, just doesn't want to stop playing. Anyway I decided today enoughs enough I am not going to remind him any more, he has got to learn to take himself. I mean he starts school in 4 weeks for heavens sake. So he is promised a little mini transformer toy at bedtime if he has had dry pants all day. He didnt even make it through the afternoon DOH.

Anyway other than that they were great all day. Went round to a friends house for a bbq for tea, they have a trampoline and the kids had a ball on it. I wonder should we get one if they are in the sale at the end of the summer ?

    So today I got done:

    - get kids up, dressed, breakfasted
    - tidy up from breakfast
    - work out how the f*** to get the fabric bits of double buggy, manual says they are machine washable but I can't get them off!!
    - wash double buggy covers
    - sort out some newborn boy and girl clothes to top up neutrals
    - sort out baby bedding to wash
    - sort out baby bedding
    - hang out first load
    - wash baby bedding
    - wash baby boy and girl clothes
    - give bouncy chair a quick wipe and get cover back on
    - reassemble baby gym
    - wipe down raincovers for double buggy and hang out
    - hang out hood bits of double buggy to air (can't be washed)
    - sort a package of kids "artwork" to send to Mum and Dad tomorrow
    - hang out second load
    - put 3rd load of washing on
    - put in drier, running out of drying space!
    - put away first 2 loads
    - hung swimming sertificates in kids rooms
    - sorted piles of stuf for kids overnight bags when baby comes
    - did a snapfish order for photos for Mums min album of holiday pics
    - printed out a load of big labels for garage boxes
And I did all that this morning :j

Hubby phoned from Washington at 8pm, he has to wait for a connecting flight and I wasn't expecting him to call so that was a lovely surprise. Hopeless etc as he is, and much as I enjoy the peace in the house, I do miss him when he's away.

Am slobbing on sofa just watched Billy Elliot, never seen it before, quite enjoyed it.

Right will be back in a mo once I have assembled tomorrow's list.

    What are you reading?

erm the book I took on hols is called Sunset View by Margaret Thornton, lightweight thing/easy reading.

We have all always loved books but especially this last year reading lightweight stuff before bed has helped to switch my mind off from the endless list of things I need to do and the why's and what if's etc etc

The other book which I didn't take with me cause I didn't want to wake the kids if it made me cry(!) is Unravelled by Maria Housden. She wrote a book called Hannah's Gift which I read/cried to on hols 2 yrs ago. DH kept saying 'what's the matter' so often that I had to stop reading it!!!! Hannah's Gift is about the authors little girl who died of cancer (cheery reading I know!) and how the family coped with it in the months before and after she died. Unravelled so far is about how Maria's live changes afterwards. Both compelling reading to be recommended but do have a box of tissues handy.

When you see a bright shooting star up there tonight will you send all our love as DD and I (DS is a bit young to understand) say that the brighest star is Daddy as he shines brightly when we look up there so we know which one is him :)

Jovichick mine comes tomorrow :D did the discount codes work for you ?

JAMIEDODGER get that mop sorted! You're gonna need it :) good luck, hope you enjoy joining us :D

Tracyg, JillD, AnW'sMum, Solway, Becca and Kaz nice to see you back with us :)Michelle and Shell I know you'll be back soon enough, where are the rest of the regulars hiding ? They'll no doubt put an appearance in tomorrow :)

Dusty with Diggerland and 3-5s you would have to go on the rides with them, it can be a bit hard getting comfy in a JCB with a toddler on your knee etc but most kids that age love it. Tickets are expensive, kids go free vouchers http://www.kidsattractions.co.uk/

Pigpen you don't need anyone to tell you you are crackers, I suppose with 8 one more must be just easy :rotfl: Middle rooms getting there, such a difference well done, don't worry will be plenty of spare kicks around for if we catch you lazing about :D Just noticed something missing, where's the hoppers ? Not burried under there are they ?

Poohbear, don't worry about being away a few days, hope your Dad is ok will be thinking of you, we'll be still here muttering on about the daily poop when you need us :)

sexymouse good luck with the possible job!

With Holly to be honest seeing her with her she's just as attatched to her, just found us going hard, it was the first visit and I think she possibly thought as she did when we were on holiday, 'ah they've come to take me home' so I am unsure if that is what she thought. I'm sure next time we ggo it will be easier. She's absolutely spoilt in her new home, parading around in her new pink collar with sparklies on she got yesterday :rotfl:

jjef welcome back, of course it counts, it's done isn't it!
One day I might be more organised...........

whilst the subject of mops has come up - I don't own one. But I want one!
What is the best sort ? I want one that I can use to clean the floor with minimum effort, every one I've had in the past I've had to break my back shoving it around really hard and practically holding the handle an inch off the floor to make the damn things get marks off. My kitchen is huge, i am very lucky, but I hate cleanig the floor on my hands and knees, its knackering (yes I know its great for getting the baby in the right position etc)

    Recommendations please!

Right off to bed with Harry (Potter) though its proving a bit too scary to read on my own .......

AnW'sMum I sent your love shooting up to your DH and minutes later he showered it all back down onto you all.

Books - when Dad died I could not concentrate to read, I used to do Suduko to help me sleep. I only read light books, just finished 'I don't know how she does it'.

Given up on the stars now, kept getting freaked out by the hedgehogs etc, god I'm a wimp.

Must go to bed as boys are off at 7:00 in the morning.

    hello lovelies

i'm just popping in to say hi - sadly won't be able to join in the list this week as away again. i was at scout camp last week and this week i'm taking my youth group to a christian festival. the washer is on for the umpteenth time this weekend and my bag is packed (left most of the stuff in the car as only back for the weekend!)

have just wiped round the kitchen and have hoovered round so at least the place looks passable. OH has been here this weekend and the place always looks messy when he's around! perhaps just cos i'm lazier when he's here and two people in a small space equals more mess.

anyway, have a good week all and i'll catch up next week.

I've got to get to grips again, since the hols started I've run aground.
Will try not to go on the pc in the morning, or on AC:WW because that has been really distracting me lately.
    Best of luck folks!

Dusty I'd planned on watching the stars, even if I should be in bed now (cooker could arrive at 8am! DP couldn't move the old one as he was too tired!!! grrr ok I'm calm grrrr!!! ) but if I stay out without the dogs they scratch at the door and cry, if I take them out the neighbours 'outside' dogs start barking, given up!

Rach have a great week :)

AnW'sMum I am sure he's the brightest star up there, also reading what you put, even if he doesn't remember his Dad (which I am almost sure he will) he'll still be part of him and was brought up for those few years with him in his life, that he will always have with him. Must be hard explaining when they are so little, I know what it's like with other family members so must be even harder when it's Daddy.

witchypoo you're definately not alone, jump in honey you're more than welcome to join us this week, sure you'll get back on track soon

Looks like I'm first up today, big hugs as usual.

Allowed to be on here at the mo as I'm eating breakfast so dont shout at me yet.

Woke up this morning with a pig of a neck/shoulder ache, dont know what I did yesterday but it had started to hurt before I went to bed, so just waiting for the painkillers and diclofenac to work before I crack on.
Just as well I wanted to get up early today, told OH to wake me up when he got up for work at 6, but he'd turned the alarm off and gone back to sleep so I woke luckily at 6.10 and kicked him out of bed! So he's gone now and I have already managed to hang 1 load washin on line while the suns still shining and machine on again.

As soon as brekkie finished and the 2nd cup of tea I'll be in shower trying to ease pain of shoulder with hot water as well then its muck in til coffee time, so see you then.
