  • will be watching this with interest :) I too am broody. It's all I think about, lol! I, however, don't have any kids. The only thing that's stopping me is the rather minor (!!) problem of not being able to afford a baby, lol.

My son (now 13) still gets broody even though he knows his dads had the snip and we cant have any more kids. When we told the kids (I also have a 16 year old daughter) that OH was getting the snip 4 years ago, ds went mad, saying that he would never get his baby sister hes always wanted.Whenever we see friends with babies or a relation has a baby, ds is practically in the pram with the baby, I really thought this feeling would wear off him as he got older, but it isnt, and I can see him making me a nana before my daughter. We're hoping to get a kitten from rescue sometime this week, its going to be ds's pet, as we already have 2 dogs and 2 cats, I'm hoping this kitten will calm his broodiness for a good few years.

    awww bless him !

my son aged 5 is forever asking when we are having a baby ! ( he has an older brother aged 11)

luckily I am a nanny, and also have friends / relatives with small babies so he gets to coo over them / play with them :)

Hi, I have 3 children DS1-8yrs, DS2-5yrs and DD will be 2 on new years day.
My first 2 were planned(kind of) but DD was a complete suprise. Yes there are things that will be slightly harder to do as a family of 5 but in the end I believe it is worth it. The one thing that does sometimes get me is theme parks and things where my 2 sons are able to go on rides with us but DD cannot.
As another poster has said I too found 3rd pregnancy much harder and had various things I hadn't in previous 2 but what you get at the end is worth it. I most definetley would not be without DD.

I get broody sometimes but at the mo I only have 1 18mth old and an MX5, if I had a second would have to buy a boring car. not the most obvious way to put someone off but it works for me (Plus we agreed we would be a 1 child household!)
Only two big facts are known for certain: you are on a large, spinning rock hurtling through lonely space at about 67,000 mph, and one day your body is going to die. Will a new pair of shoes really help? :p
