Got 3 x BoS (long time now), only used for the interest.
Will be keeping my fingers crossed

This might be your experience and opinion but there are plenty of couples who feel quite ok with one or two dozen accounts, with no undue concerns about the scenario in which one, or even both, of them would be unable to manage their own accounts. You can, and should, forward plan for many eventualities as, sadly, the only thing we know for sure is that one day we will die.
Yes,that's for sure, and there's no pockets in a shroud, so, what's it all for.?.
Plan for tomorrow which never comes, today is yesterdays tomorrow. If only we had but two dozen,a/cs, that would make life simple for me.You know what they say of best made plans of Mice and Men.One never knows when the Grey matter starts to fade, too many family members suffer from it.On that cheerful note.

Yes, I was really suggesting that people carry 15 debit cards around with them! Use a bit of imagination! If what I am suggesting is too difficult for some of you, then feel free to carry on as you are.
    No doubt we will.

You're not concerned about being blacklisted from LBG?

he/ she will have a honeymoon period, especially if it's /they are run to t/cs(,enough hints on here on how to ), it seems to be only us longer term ones they are concentrating on.

But do the T&C's state that the account has to be 'run' in a certain manner? How many DD's, SO's or debit card transactions make a current account a current account?
And it's a bit sneaky to close an account because it's not being used in a 'current account manner' when, BOS particularly, allow you to state that the accounts purpose is for Savings when applying.

I think you will find this is down to me.
The first post was to do with LBG, including, BOS, and Halifax reward, BUT, it was I who closed my 3 BOS a/cs, causing rather a kerfuffle on here, for my own personal reasons, which I posted. Now it's escalated to Tesco, and Tsb apparently. For some reason Club lloyds doesn't seem to be in the debacle, because, I also cancelled them, and they asked me not to, so I didn't, but, there's time.Hope this clarifies things for you.
    Who next. Santander?

Thanks for the reply. Maybe I'll keep my 3 BOS accounts and hope that I don't get my collar felt!

What happens to those people who when they applied for the current accounts at BOS, TSB, Halifax etc selected the reason for opening the account as 'savings'?
Surely you have told them what you intend to use the account for, and therefore cannot be a breach of the terms and conditions?

when I opened my bos, x3. tsb x 3, lloyds x 3, I told them it was for savings only, for the high interest, so I did not require the dc's , cheque book, etc, which they never sent, so I could not use it as a current a/c, and haven't. I closed my 3 bos, because I was over the £85k limit, recently, otherwise, I wouldn't have, although, now there's a lot more letters being sent out, not saying I wouldn't have reconsidered.I 've just opened a hfax reward, one on the dreaded hit list, so, just in the same boa, tbut, got the dc's this time, and will use it more than the others, and I've got a lloyds club, which they asked me not to close, when I closed my 3 bos a/cs.so no logic in any of it, just make sure you have another a/c outside of the Lbg group, in case they do decide to play silly beggars in the future.

you've nothing to fear, than, fear itself.
just have another a/c outside of the lbg group, as a standby.play safe.
