I prefer to have cookies deleted when I close the browser, so alas I have to keep fiddling around to get in to this site. :-/

I'm sure that all cookies are deleted when you log off on this site. The normal log in page still doesn't work for me.I've obviously managed to get round that but the spambots seem to have worked it out as well. Not so stupid as we thought maybe?

Just using quick reply to log in again

How do we get MSE to do something about this pain of a problem?

    Still the same here too.:(

I thought I might bump this thread in the morning in the hope that someone in MSE towers sees it.

This worked for me, I hope it helps others, like everyone else I couldn't log in, out of frustration I pressed the 'register' button (after failing to be able to sign in) and I then noticed that is said my password sign in attempt had failed because my password was less than 8 digits. I guessed that the new site had probably increased the min. password from 6 to 8 digits, so I changed my password to 8 digits, and it worked.

    Hurray - today it worked.

Will it stay working though, that is the question!

I have a dell PC running Vista and am on Internet Explorer 9. I can't update the explorer as I need to update my operating system from vista to something more recent unfortunately. So I suppose I just have to accept I can't logon to MSE forum on my PC?
