Hmm when you say it like that I am no longer confident I can do this giving I don't even quite have £30 after 2 weeks! lol...

...Jacks darling - don't worry you are beating me!! :T

    Aww cheers honeybun! :A

I had a little panic  when I looked at PasturesNew's numbers too, but do you know what? I've just decided to think positive about it.

I've been doing all my clicks whenever I get the chance, (Not had to actually buy anything yet PasturesNew!) and that's got to amount to something eventually.

I'm checking in with my mystery shopper sites daily, and doing all the assignments I can grab, plus persevering with eBay even though I'm not doing too well at it at the moment.

I've got some carboots lined up - and who knows how much my junk will fetch! Between £100 and £200 isn't unusual for me at a boot sale so here's hoping...:rotfl:

We can do it my lovely!

    Love Jacks xxx :D

Even though (I think you meant it jokingly) the start is often slow, don't let go of that confidence! It's what keeps us all going when we're taking part in a challenge. For anyone else who might think they're slipping confidence wise, Talk about it with the rest of the folks here. Everyone is here to encourage eachother and often boot each others backsides when we need an extra push. That's what DFW is all about :T

Well said JCD... I've seen people on here do incredible things when they put their mind to it! At the end of the day, it's a challenge, if you don't make the total it's not the end of the world, but I'm sure everyone will manage to make some money which will help them in their own personal mission :)

  • I hold down a job working 4 days a week Mon-Thurs in an insurance company working 7.15-3.45, I have 4 children and I am on flexi-time.

I work as a mystery shopper so eg it's my 17th wedding anniversary on Fri so I've got an assignment to do so we can celebrate and be reimbursed for a meal. Tomorrow I have a supermarket assignment so I can get some items for tomorrows tea and get the money back. Friday I have a hotel visit - we cannot afford a holiday this year but to spend a night away from home knowing that it's being reimbursed is great too.

I had a shop on ebay but with all the fees etc I prefer to sell at car boots - I buy my clothes either in sales or cheaply at car boots so save that way too.

I've just booked an all inclusive holiday for our family of 6 for a week in Spain by using my clubcard and shopping at tescos - I did it the DFW way I used my points wisely and have converted them into holiday deals meaning only £100 to pay.

Last night I went on quidco - I insured OH's car total cost £189 - BUT I will get £130 back by getting it with prudential (already tracking and validating).

I click on surveys and pigsback when I have the time and also enter some competitions - in the last 2 months I won £100 amazon vouchers, a bottle of baileys and £100 to spend on a shopping website.

I also check out the freebies board and send off for things which I can use without having to buy - such as shampoo samples etc.

There is alot that can be done and because the hours I do are flexible around my main job - the possibilites and rewards are achieveable.

Keep up the good work everyone

  • Thanks Jacks you've got me blushing now ! alot of my motivation has come from several years ago when the freezer was empty and I had my own light bulb moment after years of sticking my head in the sand and being in a spiralling debt cycle.

I wished I had seen threads like this when everything seemed so bad - no matter how much is achieved we will all be learning and sharing ideas with each other and working towards the same goals.

    Dezzi - I hope your OK ?
