I've let this slip, our tabby cat disappeared on Monday - I spent hours looking for her only to discover at 11pm last night she was locked in the house 2 doors up and had been since Monday. The house owners were on holiday and someone went to feed the cat and picked up mine instead of the correct tabby cat. The RSPCA came today but couldn't break in until tomorrow so after some roof climbing. I finally got Misty back this afternoon - after some food and water and cuddles she is now fine - thank goodness.
I've had a few highs and lows this week - got a highly exceptional report and was awarded a 360 degree award for thinking full circle in my office and given £50. The lows the cat missing and I had a major slip up I've ordered myself a treadmill when really I should be reducing my debt.
Tomorrow I'm back at full speed - Mum brought around some car boot stock and I can do some work on some cashback sites etc

I'm glad you found your cat - I'd be so worried if one or both of my two went missing. We found a cat last week outside our flat in the landing, hiding behind some old furniture of my neighbour. I think it belongs to someone nearby but had just come in the wrong door and was nervous. It was there for about a day but must have made its way home in the end!
The good news is I've sold another book on Amazon! I listed 7 books last night, so 2 in 24 hours is not bad! So far I've got £52.45 either in cash or tracking. I'm off to a bit of a slow start. I've worked out to meet the gold challenge I'll have to earn:
per week £63.17
per day £9.02
Broken down like that, it's still a tall order, but it is achievable!March 2016 - £178,914.59; July 2017 £146,160.38
Mortgage end Sept 2043; Target - pay off by March 2022, now Sept 2021
Target balance July 2018 £112,5600 -
I keep forgetting to update on this thread, but I haven't forgotten about the challenge!
I'm currently on £172.31 - that's £50.62 from ebay and other things/£121.69 from various cashback sites! Better than expected... though I tried listing some cds on play.com a week ago but for some reason they closed my accountSo I'll have to resort to ebaying and face their dreaded fees!

hi fellow challengers!
I've had a really good start to this challenge. Have made £130 on ebay, minus £34 postage, £26.00 for items bought to sell and £22.00 fees - profit of £48. Doesn't sound great but I haven't included 14 items which haven't been paid yet :j
In addition, am doing extra shifts at work this week and next which should give me an extra £126 in my pay next month :T
However, I have a full induction week at uni the week after so will lose £44.80 in wages
Therefore total money making so far is £48, with good prospects as extra wages and further ebay payments to come.
I have pledged £500, I will do it!!! Total debt £21,000 :eek:Weight loss to date - 2 st, 2lb:j0 -
Hmm, it's an odd one over here. I've made £440 with ebay but will be investing £300 in another package of items to sell on, which have an RRP of £950+. If my sales and figures go to plan, by the end of this month (if not sooner) I'll have the £300 returned with £400 proffit after fees. It's a waiting game here, very slow progress.Debt free since 2014 - now saving for a mortgage deposit :heart2:
This time I'm on top of it! We live and learn :coffee:0 -
Blimey. Another £119.12 has cleared from eBay - a day earlier than usual by my reckoning, but I don't mind that at all!
It's definitely feeling more do-able.
Well done everybody!
While I'm here does any one have any tips for magically making books sell on Amazon?? Mine are just sitting there!
Cheers lovelies!

Everyone's doing well!
I'm moving in with Mr Daffs at the end of this month, moving out of a shared house. Just dawned on me yesterday, I'll get £250 deposit back - and I don't need to give Mr Daffs a deposit
Don't know whether this is within the rules, but I think I'm going to count that towards my £500 challenge. All my holidays/ Christmas/ spending etc is accounted for from other sources/ small change etc, so reducing the debt should be a priority - that's how it works, isn't it??
My debt is actually less than £1400 now, so with this £500, that'll be over a third of it gone! Hooray!0 -
Fantastic :j
Have made £70 from last nights ebay sales! Have added this to total in sig, however some money will have to be deducted when items are posted
Am going to investigate Amazon tonight as everyone here reacons its a good place for book selling:eek: Total debt £21,000 :eek:Weight loss to date - 2 st, 2lb:j0 -
