I have saved every PM that I've sent or received and I would be extra careful about doing this with one that contained an apology from someone I had a major difference of opinion with on the forum so I'm pretty confident that JR will also have kept it. (or then again, maybe not).0

Had to return to the start of Page 1 to recall what the original Topic was. Adding my experience to that, ignoring over 10 pages of " ...he said, she said..." and mud-slinging.
In a restaurant, proper restaurant, not a McD's:
Asking for the 3 course menu, my 2 Gson's and I gave our 3 choices. Starter, main, dessert.
After a wait, 3 main meals arrived. "Where are the starters?"
"Oh, did you ask for starters?"
"Yes of course: we asked for the 3 courses, you listed them on your pad!"
"Oh silly me, I put down the pad in the kitchen."
"Come on lads, we'll go somewhere else."
No one followed, no one protested. The mains did not look good anyway.

Irrespective of who is right and who is wrong, the whole thread has degenerated into a squabbling match and as an MSE member, I have as much right as any other member to voice my opinion about it on this praise, vent and warnings board.
The discussion in hand has drifted so far from the original vent that was made as to make the title pointless. Instead, it's become a personal discussion/argument amongst a few people.
I agree with your opinion as to what is the main cause of the ongoing discussion but I was simply pointing out that it's now degenerated into something a bit pointless where it's clear that no one is going to back down.0 -
