I am getting really excited about my next OP.....is that sad?

I've just checked my new account and the £100 incentive has gone in. If I add that to my ebay money, refund and regular OP, it now stands at £356.59 whoop whoop! I can feel my competitive edge coming on, and I've decided I want to try and make it a £500 OP this month.

Shame about the weather today. I had to bring some work home this weekend and I did it yesterday, that was defiantly the wrong day to pick, I missed all the nice weather :( Still, hopefully I can get the house nice and tidy for the coming week today.

    Have a lovely Sunday all.

Don't pay for any insurances monthly as they charge credit always pay annually. Save monthly for them and get 6% compound interest over the year.

    Hey FN,

I think you have hit the nail on the head with the below statement.
    Hi Runders

I find the best way to keep going in the evening is to not sit down! As soon as you sit in front of the TV that's it so if you want to get anything done, do it straight away.

I think if I am doing things in the evening I need to drop my stuff off at home and head straight out, the giant bean bag is too alluring. It will be even worse when I have an actual sofa.
Ont his note, my friend and I are stopping off on the way home for a swim in the sea. We did this last Friday and it was really refreshing and really helped to clear our minds.

Oh god the gym word...I'd better start going back there.. dum dum dum

    Hello all,

Hope you all had lovely weekends. I have to admit to not having achieved much. I did a lot of lazing around, and now I feel like I wasted it. Still, I can't waste next weekend, I'm going to the Royal Air Tattoo, weeeeeeeeee! My friend's Mum gave us Grandstand tickets, which was bloody lovely of her. We are staying overnight at my Mum's house (gotta love Mum's!), and so all we have to pay for is transport and a little spending money. Bring on the fun.

In my current theme of laziness, I haven't put my other items on ebay yet. I really need to sort that if I want to make my target of a £500 OP this month. Maybe I'll manage to get a few listed after my dip in the sea this evening.

    Right back to work!

Hi Runders :) how was your swim? I hate ebay and I've gotten a bit lazy. I've vowed to keep five listings running in there a week, trying to do the little and often thing!

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time

    Hey MessyMare,

The dip didn't happen due to staying late at work :(

I find listing stuff on ebay just tedious, so m,any boxes etc to fill out..zzzz. I still haven't listed the other items yet, I'll aim to do one a night until they are all done. How are your list goals of 5 coming along?

    Hi all,

Bit of a gap from me again, it's all been going wrong this week!

My washing machine flooded my kitchen and then died on Friday evening, just as I was about to go away for the weekend and had no clean clothes sorted :( Thankfully I have tiled floors, and my friend rescued me by washing a few clothes for me. I'm now trying to decide on a new machine, but there is so much choice, even within the same brand.

Then I get a phone call from M&S to say that my credit card has been cloned, thankfully I don't think the damage is too bad, I just need to check through my statement when it arrives.

Thirdly my back decided to give out whilst I was at the Air Tattoo, but I still managed to enjoy it :) At one point there were about 15 spitfires in the sky at once, glorious!

I spent a little more than expected over the weekend, as we also made a stop at Bletchley Park and ate out both days. But it was so enjoyable that I am not worried too much, you've got to have the odd bit of fun.

A few goals I'd really like to achieve this week:
    -Finish painting the box room
-Get one item a day on ebay
-make lunch for each day at work

Hope you are all going on well :)

  • Hi Runders

I hate ebaying! Have you tried gumtree? It's a bit easier to list items and no fees either which is a bonus! There's also a website called Viva Street (I think) which is similar.

  • Oh no runders, sound like your having a bit of a bad time recently.

My 2 pence worth on the washing machine front is to get something as simple as possible as I find that the ones with all the fancy programs have more chance of going wrong with their computer chip brains and my only use a couple of the programs.

    How's the meal planning going?

    Hello Mrs Trelfa :)

I think that is some very sound advice. I saw a washing machine the other day that cost £1000, mainly because you could control it rom your smart phone, madness! I am going to go for a standard Bosch methinks.

    How's the meal planning going?

Well....I have never washed up so much Tupperware in my life!! I like the batch cooking though, it's great to just have to heat something up when you come in and not start from scratch. My freezer is rammed now, so a good month or so of working my way through it. I am definitely eating a lot healthier this way as well :)

Oh, any simple ideas for batch cooking mince that aren't Chili or Cottage pie would be greatly received.I need to browse some cookery sites.
