Hiya Rudders, just popping in to say Hi :hello: you seem to be making good progress already! I'm really getting into batch cooking atm, really good for those nights where you REALLY can't be bothered. used to hate cooking before DD, but diet needed to improve Hope everything calms down with your neighbour, we used to have neighbours like that, constantly appearing when you wanted a quiet 5 mins outside. I like your decisive action of a very tall fence I've found the subscribe button now

Hello all,
I had a fairly expensive weekend down in London with a friend this weekend, but, it was a last hurrah to freedom prior to my impending incarceration in the office. The office isn't that bad, but I love being out at sea and I am truly going to miss it.
My friend and I saw two plays at the globe and also 'Whose Line is it Anyway Live', I laughed so much I was actually crying! We also decided to visit the London Dungeon, but we got in free using some of my avios points
I've managed to add an extra £26 from my penny jar to my OP this month, so a nice OP of £176 in total.
Right the new chapter starts for me tomorrow, it's payday and I am going to put my new budget into practice. I need to flex my will power and stick to it, both the budget and a diet! My pay should have an extra £150ish in it this month from sea days, I'm going to whisk that straight out an into an OP.

Hi Cel *waves*,
The neighbours are on holiday at the moment and it's fantastic, I can actually sit in my front room and quietly read a book. I'm going to be in for a rude shock when they return, as I've now gotten used to this.
I'm planning on doing a small amount of batch cooking today. I'm going to make up a big Chilli Con Carnie for dinner and then freeze the extra portions. I did try to make a spiced carrot soup the other day, but it went disastrously wrong. I have to admit that it ended up in the bin....
Hope you have a good Monday!

Oh thank the Lord, it's pay day!!! Phew.
My money will all do it's little shuffles across to different accounts tonight, and then it's go go go with the new budget.
I've been a bit lethargic in the heat, but I have managed a few things. I batch cooked some chilli yesterday and I am doing a big cottage pie this evening. I'm splitting these into portions and freezing them for when I am in the office. I'm actually running out of room in the freezer, so I am going to have to shuffle it all around.
I got an absolute bargain in MnS the other day, a whole chicken for £1.85! I suspect that the person who was out with the yellow stickers may have marked it up wrong, but I am not going to complain.
I've also listed a few things on ebay today, so fingers crossed they do well. I have 3 items on at the moment, but hopefully that will increase as the evening wears on. I have a lot of random stuff and it's time to be ruthless with it all.
My plan for this evening is to de-clutter, list on ebay and make up a bag for charity. Then tomorrow I WILL start the decorating in the box room that I keep putting off, I will, I will, I will! I had a bit of an incident with incorrect usage of filler and it put me off a little....mistake learned from though.
I need to swap my savings accounts over as well. My interest rate ended on my monthly saver and I received £20.58. I am going to put £10.58 towards the OP and £10 in the emergency fund.
Hope you are all having a good evening!MFW Start:[STRIKE] Sep 2014 - £110,844[/STRIKE], July 2019 New Home £190,995

Hello there good score on the chicken! I had a similar one where I think the yellow sticker was wrong...that was the day of the 2p crumpets

Right I've been MS already today:
I'm heading to the Royal Norfolk tomorrow, instead of buying food there I am making sandwiches out of the things I already have in the fridge. I'll also take a flask of coffee and a cheeky hip flask of sloe gin.
I've also just applied for a reward account with a switching bonus and 5 quid a month. I've moved my mortgage and bill account to this, fingers crossed it all goes smoothly. I'll pay the £100 bonus and the £5 a month into the OP. Once the switch is completed on this I will then look to move my current account that my salary goes into elsewhere, and then sort out my savings and ISA accounts.MFW Start:[STRIKE] Sep 2014 - £110,844[/STRIKE], July 2019 New Home £190,995

Hi Runders!
Thought I'd pop over and have a read of your diary. Your job sounds interesting, what kind of things do you study? Unlucky with the neighbours, nothing worse than having neighbours you don't get on with! We are quite lucky at the moment, we have nice people on one side and a field of horses on the other!
Good luck with your goals! I always find that when I actually make the time to meal plan we spend a lot less and I lose weight as well as there is less impulse buying of snacks!0 -

Hi FacelessNumber. I'm an environmentalist, so I study the habitats and the creatures on the seabed. My job is basically to identify any protected habitats or species and to map the area they occur in. I also perform a baseline survey that tells us what the habiat/s are before any work commences in that area of seabed. Sounds exciting, but I spend a lot of time sieving mud!FacelessNumber wrote: »Unlucky with the neighbours, nothing worse than having neighbours you don't get on with! I'm rather jealous! My neighbours come back from holiday soon, booo!
Hope you've been enjoying the wonderful weather!MFW Start:[STRIKE] Sep 2014 - £110,844[/STRIKE], July 2019 New Home £190,995

Hi all,
Hope you have all been enjoying the glorious weather!
I made the most of the cool evening the other day and de-cluttered my room as much as I can. I still haven't actually unpacked as the work on the house is on-going. I do hope my friend comes back to work here again soon!
Anyways, I have 2 bags to go to charity and a bag of stuff to put on ebay. I've already got a few items on ebay and people are watching them, fingers crossed they sell okay.
I've taken a look at my mortgage account this morning and it's down to £107171.11, so I've already beaten the predicted level if I made no OP of 107690 in Sep 15 :jI've only been overpaying since May, so I'm really pleased.
Few things to achieve today:
-List the other items on ebay
-Email the gas guy
-Clean and Dust
I may have a few drinks later tonight and lunch out tomorrow as a friend just got engaged, but I will attempt to limit the damage.
Happy Friday Everyone!MFW Start:[STRIKE] Sep 2014 - £110,844[/STRIKE], July 2019 New Home £190,995
