Optical express i've had enough. I'm going to the papers!!!

Options
Optical Express are a joke. Went for laser eye surgery and was told on the day my eyes where not suitable and I would get my refund within 28 working days.

I'm now in to 32 working days and no refund. We are a young family who's car has died and really need that refund so we can get to work and do school runs etc etc. I have explained the situation and Optical Express don't care so I'm going to the papers. I've at my wits end I've waited their 28 days I need my money. Take it out of whatever interest scheme you have it in and return it.

This'd do better in Praise, Vents & Warnings but good luck with the papers.

Out of interest how would you have paid to fix the car if your surgery had gone ahead ??

On a practical note how did you pay ?

Is this a continuation of yesterday's issue?

If so, why do we need a new thread?

Yesterday you were "getting ready to submit a letter to get my money back".
    What happened to that?

my situation is dia the wife and i are at each others throats because we are finding things hard doing day to day things with no car and frankly im at my witts end. a letter is all well and good if you have the time and money to burn. i have neither so im going for a more direct approach.

and so far two main stream papers are very interested in the story.

2 main stream papers are interested in a story about a payment 4 days late? REALLY?

And why are you rowing about not having a car? I can understand being frustrated but theres no need to row with yoru wife about it. These things happen - its not nice but it is life.

Take a step back and send them a LBA that should get them to move a bit quicker

If you had the eye surgery, what would you have done about paying for the car ?

He didn't have the surgery so it's irrelevant :rotfl: Car obviously only broke because it knew there was a refund on it's way

If you mean debit card, then read MSE's Chargeback article.
