  • Morning all,

Thank you for all your kind words. I had a horrible sleepless night, just wishing it was all over.

Feeling rough this morning and not well, so am curled up on the sofa watching crappy tv.

Not heard from the landlord yet and too frightened to email him.

    Morning
Are you home alone or have you got the kids with you? I can't remember how old you said they were?

I'm sure as a business person you are used to thinking of strategy. One possible good use of your time today may be writing out a few scenarios that you can use to guide your thinking. It may really help to clear your mind from the panic too. Scenario 1 -you tell your landlord you can't pay. He goes mad but says you can have another week or 2 etc.

Are you waiting on money in to be able to pay the rent?

    Thinking of you

  • Hi Bob,

Thank you so much for your support.

I have been busy, listing items for sale on gumtree and preloved in an attempt to get some ready cash along with chasing up some clients to try and get new orders. So far have made; £198.97. £551.03 to find for the rent!!

I am home on my own today, have taken both children off to school this morning. They are 6 and 7.

Think the scenario idea is a great idea, you're right I tend to panic and almost go into shut down mode and definitely can't think straight

    Thanks so much Bob x

    Not at all.

You could always share your scenarios here if you want any advice from your posters here.

    Hope you feel better soon.

  • Evening,

    Much better over here tonight.

Have had some replies to some items I put on Gumtree. Hopefully have 4 items being collected tomorrow which will bring in £328 which will go towards home rent arrears.

So just another £223.03 to find and then that is cleared. Hopefully have some leads for orders so could manage to find that this evening, fingers crossed.

Plan to keep listing on ebay tomorrow. My home is so full of clutter/old stock - I bet if I put my mind it I could really put a dent in the debt just from selling this stuff off.

  • Hi,
Just wanted to say I've just read all your diary and admire you so much for tackling this debt by yourself.
Well done for selling all that gear on Gumtree etc. as well, that must be a relief to know you are making headway in sorting out your rent arrears.
Please keep talking to everyone on here when you are feeling as low as you were the other night, it really can help just to get things off your chest.

    Hello
That is great progress on the eBaying! Brilliant. Go for it on the selling off project. Decluttering is great for feeling in control of one small bit of your life too. Go you!:T
