Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi Starting Again

I don't want to close up no. And I think it would be a very last option because having closed for 6 months I have found it very hard to reestablish myself anyway. So to close up again even for a month in only 6 or so months time (from reopening) would not be a popular thing to do and I think for some of my patient lovely regulars might just be the straw that breaks the camels back. That said and I know you will understand it being in your situation, I got into trouble with my PAYE when I had staff and terrible cash flow. I struggled to pay salaries and borrowed money month after month to top off this person or that's wage. So I am very very anxious about employing people again until that debt is repaid which is January. There is no way I can pay back tax and new tax at the same time. I am very risk averse now having struggled for 3 years with this fear. Now I want the simple life even if that means peeing a few people off by only opening the hours I can physically do myself.
So I appreciate I'm being contrary but I have very good reasons. Effectively November and December are rent free months so I'd Iike to trade then but if I physically can't I'd rather not. Unless things are much much better than they are now on the takings front. Because I need a wage too. Even if it is less than the minimum wage I make per month with the hours I put in.

I sound negative but I actually just want to avoid any new debt.

  • Sorry have not been on for a few days. Been very stressful due to wages and rents (debts now gone up quite considerably!)

Also business 3 has had a take notice put on it. Which has made me feel all wobbly!

Would just like to hear some reassurance

  • Thanks Bob. It's forfeiture of the lease, which is essentially the best option for me but still making me feel odd.
