Can anyone advise what the legal status is for a company that issues PCNs, which have their company name on the PCN paperwork, but their company name differs on their signs in the car park. I.e. Does it have to be an exact match, word for word on the signage, as the company name registered at companies house.

I was holding back with the company name just in case they become aware of the situation. Same reason that I didn't want to go into specifics.
Would someone receiving a PCN have a watertight defence to enable the process to be stopped in its tracks if the signage didn't exactly match the registered company name, and would the right time to declare this info be at the Popla stage ?0 -
The CPC rejected my first appeal so now getting on to second stage Popla appeal.
How does the Beavis v PE judgement affect a Newbies Popla Appeal ?

Read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES, especially the bit in blue about the Beavis case.
Do a search for UKCPM and PoPLA appeals, as well as looking at PoPLA decisions thread where you will find loads of examples of succesful appeals to modify, as well as unsuccesful appeals where you can learn what not to put in an appeal.I married my cousin. The charge is unconscionable and extravagant and unrelated to local Penalty Charge levels in this area. It is believed that the Supreme Court’s decision in ParkingEye v Beavis will have an impact on the outcome of this POPLA appeal. If the operator does not cancel this charge and/or if there is no other ground upon which the appeal can be determined, I ask that my appeal is adjourned pending the Beavis case.
My rejection letter from UK CPM states that the Beavis Case has been awarded to the Operator. So is the text in the sticky is out of date ?0 -

So you would rather believe something a parking company that wants your money has written over people on here who give up hundreds of hours of their time for free to provide information for people like you?
The Beavis case is going to be heard at the Supreme court next month, therefore any previous court cases cannot be relied upon to set a precedent. Did UK CPM tell you this?
The Sticky threads are up to date. If they weren't, they would be updated as soon as something changed to make them up to date. The one that mentions Beavis was last updated at the beginning of this month. (It tells you this at the bottom of the post.) The Beavis case to which it refers was held last April. So, Sticky thread info is later than the court case by two months and therefore is up to date.I married my cousin. Thanks for clarifying that Fruitcake. From what I read about the Beavis case, I was expecting the judgement to be imminent. Of course, I wrongly assumed that my rejection letter from CPM has included the Supreme Court ruling. What they were stating, as you have now made me aware, was old news. I was a little puzzled when I could not find any new reference to Beavis !
Anyway, I really appreciate you putting me straight and thank you for your guidance.0 -
In the NTK, UK CPM stated that if I appeal (which I did and was rejected), they would reply within 14 days.
Question 1. When does the 14 days start and finish ?
Question 2. If they are outside of the 14 days, could this be a contravention on their part and would this strengthen my Popla appeal ?0
