Especially if you combine it with all the other benefits of doing all your household expenses at that same place, like nectar points or club card points or whatever.
So it's not clear who the winner is then? They are all pretty similar?
No the 10% discount card is pretty crap as most things can be had cheaper from elsewhere anyway. Just pay a decent wage so employees can have the dignity to shop where they want to.

Most things can't be bad cheaper or more convenient than from the big supermarkets which you go to anyway.
10% of everything you need to buy is a lot every year. Clothes, household, entertainment of course food and drink, everything for the house.HTB = Help to Bubble.0 -
Do all the supermarkets offer ten percent discount?0

I know a few Tesco employees who shop in Aldi - cheaper and better quality food in most cases, even after Tesco staff discount is considered.0

It's a shame there is no staff discount, or aldi would be the best supermarket to work for.
I know somebody who works for wait rose but still does all shopping in sainsubys, it's still cheaper than with the staff discount in waitrose.0 -

I cannot believe, that you want your wife to work at supermarket and only thing you seem to worry about is "how much staff discount will we get". As other users said you are not worried about wage, working conditions, holidays, pension and other important employee benefits.
You are probably a guy who is only interested in getting a few inches bigger TV every year.
You may save more money by shopping around for goods you are talking about rather than sending your wife to work for shop with biggest employee discount.0 -

non comparable.0 -
OP, wouldn't the pay and hours be the most important criteria for a retail job?
the food discount would be meaningless if she has to do the night shift?0 -
