Ah, thanks YorkshireBoy - I simply didn't scroll down far enough (duh!).

EDIT: And thanks to you again, Ed-1.

    Hello.

Is the TSB application and switch process entirely online or do you have to call / visit the branch in order to switch?

Also does anyone have any experience with their online banking?

Both can be done online. There's an option to complete a switch form at the end of the application if the application is successful.

Have you any experience with Lloyds or HBOS internet banking? If so, it's the same system. If not, it's fine - allows you to do most things except register an account for gross interest!

    Thanks Ed.

Does the balance update in real time i.e. spend in a shop and see it online instantly?

Also do you have any experience of the mobile app?

The date refers to the switch completion date, so you've missed out by a day by the looks of it.

However, the offer is on again next week.

Thanks Ed-1. That sucks. I wish they'd stated that. I see the offers just come around again, but don't think that would benefit me now as I already have the account.

From what I read on here, you can have another joint names but you need to apply for the joint one in branch (I think?!). The offer requires you to apply online through the MSE or MoneySuperMarket link.

Actually, the answer is either before or after the switch, it doesn't matter.

My daughter applied via this site link on 30th July (Hoping to get the switch money) and received a message today to say the request had been declined .
Went down to the local TSB branch and applied in person and was accepted straight away.

Main reason for wanting the account was for saving, the switch bonus would have been a nice extra.

I have now received my £100 it took a month from the switch, I completed my application fully online. I will keep the account and use it as a savings account for the 5% interest.

I applied six weeks ago and set up the 2 DDs immediately but still haven't had my £100.

Does anyone know the best number to contact them about this?

(Sorry if its buried in the thread, its quite hard to search for a telephone number)
