Does TSB consider a SO a DD? I've done SO's on other switch offers and it's been accepted..

as far as i'm aware if it says "2 Direct Debits" it means exactly that, and not "2 Direct Debits or Standing Orders".
that said, if you finish up arguing your case, as i have had to in the past, 1 or more SOs can help your arguments that is it is a 'properly operated main current account'.

I believe that it does say in the Terms and Conditions that you have to sign up for paperless statements or you will NOT get the £100
    Cheers!!!

http://www.tsb.co.uk/cashback-money-supermarket/#TermsandConditions doesn't say anything about paperless, nor does (the same text at) http://www.tsb.co.uk/legal/special-offer-mse-msm-terms-and-conditions.pdf

Please provide evidence to back up your assertion....

My £100 hadn't arrived, so I rang up this morning and made my case. I was told it will go in tomorrow (no reason for delay was given, and I didn't bother to ask).

NB my main concern was that this was my second Classic Plus and, since opening it via the MSE link, I have become aware that you're only allowed one. But I have both of them funded to the hilt and paying me 5% interest on both lots of £2,000. Nothing was mentioned this morning, so looks like it's OK.

Similar for me, rang on Saturday, (32 days after switch), asked to callback on Monday,(today), as the data base was only available to a manager and they don't work weekends.

Called today and was told yes I had made the criteria, no reason why not yet paid and told it will be in my account within the next 48 hours.

No bank will 'consider' a Standing Order to be the same as a Direct Debit, because they are entirely different .
