    Thank you!

It was hard going being the new kid and not having a clue when I've come from being top dog. I'm exhausted and I wasn't even busy. One of my friends texted me with a wee bit encouragement tonight so I'll hopefully get a better night's sleep tonight, ready to do it all again tomorrow.

All dd's off today but the mortgage and loan balances won't be updated until tomorrow. I will change my sig then.

    :)
    Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
    Mortgage today = £161,690.76
    300 271 payments to go.
    House buyout fund £21,000/£40,000

That'll be the worst day over. Hope it's going well and everyone is being nice to the new girl :-)

Is it a different accounts package in your new firm or is that familiar to you? We got a new system at work a while back and it did take a bit of getting used to, you get so used to almost doing things on auto pilot. Good luck x

Thanks all. I'm typing this on the bus on my way home. Used to get in at 5.20pm. Now it's nearly 6.20!

Day 2 was a wee bit better but day 3 has been much better. Everyone is lovely but it's all still new. Primula, it is a completely different system. I'm having to learn it from scratch. At least I have the knowledge I have so I understand what to do, just not how to do it. They use the same bank so I already know their online banking system which helps massively.

I feel far better today :) Thank you for the words of encouragement all xx

Had to finish quick as the bus journey went so much faster when I decided to pop on here!

Mortgage and loan balance updated in sig. I will post on 9th for the 3 month anniversary update.

It's so much harder to come on here now as I don't know if we are allowed on the internet at work apart from banking. It makes it hard to do my personal banking and spreadsheet updating. I might have to limit myself to updating here once a week at the weekend. I won't get away with coming on here every night. LMG would have something to say!

Right, off to the supermarket. I miss my Wednesday afternoons off.

Today was the best day so far (out of 4...) I would go so far as to say that I enjoyed it today!

I also met my old boss for coffee at lunchtime and that really helped. I realised I was feeling a bit homesick and that took the edge off it. It was just like 'old times'. He still values my opinion and I still don't hold back from giving it. He brought me my calculator from the old office (I asked if I could have it). I think it might be an accounts person thing but I feel normal with it. The lady in my office who I am taking over from when she leaves a week tomorrow said the only thing she is taking with her is her calculator. We can use them with our eyes shut. It is such a comfort having it. Mine is ancient and I think I might cry when it gives up.

We were really disappointed with Mr L yesterday. We took a list and only managed to get about 2/3 of what was on it. That all came to £27. We could have got everything on the list for around £30 from Mr M. We used to shop in Mr L and it was usually ok but it was definitely not ok this time so we will just continue with Mr M. LMG is very clear on the budget rules (if it ain't on the list, it ain't going in the basket - the only exception being milk, bread, butter or cheese). We will plan properly and it will all be fine. We got a couple of very small payments from CSA so I'm hanging on to them in case we need them.

I have a night out with my new work tomorrow night. Fizz Friday that I mentioned in an earlier post is happening and they are combining it with a leaving night for the woman I am taking over from. I have been told that the firm pay for nights out but I will take some cash just in case. I don't plan to stay long so worst case scenario is I pay for my food and then leave. I have my bus pass now and the restaurant is close to the bus route so I will get the bus home.

Just seen the time! I have to get to bed. Again. The days are starting to fly in now.
