  • A bit of sunshine and we all go mad with the spring cleaning.

Balcony sounds lovely, would love one of them, I would use it for just about everything, especially for breakfast on a lovely morning. Plant pots you could spray paint to zest them up a bit. Hope the weather continues to let you work outdoors.

Still counting my NSD but LiL who put us up to the challenge seems to have gone awol at the moment :(

    nsd 10/14 for feb

Thanks, I hope so too re: weather.

I manage to grow a fair bit of fruit and veg alongside flowers so do ok.

Some of the pots are plastic and a bit the worse for wear so I may choose the best ( I have some crock ones that are in good condition) and reduce the number to free up some space.

I am also 100/14 for feb on NSD so far. May not be a good week this week however for NSD!

    Bexster :)
  • Spring cleaning...does hoovering the living room count...? That's a fantastic going you and box on NSD. Quick question though - does he NSD include the family or just yourselves? I've got no chance with Mrs SJ, though I gave to say she sticks within budget mostly (I have a budget excess just in case!).

    Hi SJ

Sorry, I don't have a Mr Bexster to keep score of on the NSDs. Makes things a lot easier! :D

  • Another lovely sunny day - so Bexster wll be out on her Balcony havng breakfast :)

keys are getting worse - seems to be a whole row of them now - working when they feel like it .
so its now keys - 8 ,i, k, so far, so no doubt will be looking very soon for a replacement :( love this one as well :( don't want to change.

Just checked my mortgage account - o/p made by faster payment yesterday not taken off - yet its the same bank :( but of course out of my account like a flash.

Funny how the smallest of interest payments make you think. With me it was interest of 4p that got me going:)

Ha ha ha! Bit cold for breakfast out there yet!

Have done some more work though emptying pots of dead plants etc.

Sadly my car is making odd noises so it's off to the garage weds - hopefully not too expensive. On the plus side, when I drop it off at lunchtime I am off to stay overnight with a friend so we will shop and relax and eat and drink. Hoping the car will be done thurs pm without making my CC cry!

Hope you are all having good day - another NSD for me here!

    Bexster :)

Funny how it leaves you in an instant but like watching paint dry takes forever to get to the other end :mad:

You got me on the 4p now, I am starting to think in terms of pennies as well, maybe that's what happens after a bit...............your focus turns from the big numbers because they are such distant far off things and by concentrating on the pennies you do actually feel that you achieve something everyday. I think when you first start your journey you see the huge amount (the mortgage) and you only think that it can only be gone by paying chunks at a time but in reality it's paying the pennies that gets you there :T:T:T

  • I've got such a mad way of o/p  that I doubt anyone else will calculate o/p the way I do :)

My formula for o/p is as follows - (if anyone is interested in how my mind works) :o

    Mortgage account also has 2 sub accounts, so;
    1. 1st o/p - I look at the total of all 3 accounts, then o/p the odds,
    2. next o/p I look at the mortgage account on its own - and o/p the odds,
    3. next o/p I go back to the total of all 3 accounts and o/p the odds :D
Repeat from no.1 till end of month :D:D:D If total hasn't reached £250 by end of month - I then top it up to total that amount. Keeps me busy and feel like I'm making headway little and often :D otherwise I'll get bored

Great way of doing it....I fiddle with all my spreadsheets and do a similar thing on those, but can't physically OP as minimum is £500 a go...well was, as it's just come down to £100. So might have the odd month or 2 now where I can send extra. :j Anything to get my annual statement onto more than 1 page :rotfl:
