  • Hi Hollyboll,

Glad your up and about, take it nice and easy. Not really beating myself up,I just wonder a lot. Where would I be in my mortgage now if ....:)

Energy still very low, laptop still misbehaving and roof, well its still there for now, but the wind and rain, it's like gale force gusts here atm, lets hope it doesn't get any worse.:)

Shopping was a bit of a disaster, got to the shops, but just couldn't be bothered, will maybe try again tomorrow - weather permitting. Need to find something to wear on work xmas night out in 2 weeks, which will go down I treat when I turn up - being off sick an all.:o

I'm actually amazed myself at the o/p's so just enjoying it while it lasts. Every o/p's a bonus for now but under no illusion that I could keep this up.
Lets hope you are on to a full recovery and will feel much better after the weekend.

  • Afternoon, and what an afternoon it is, we've quite a storm here since last night tea time, rain and high winds, scary stuff and I had to go out in it this morning.

So couple of parcels posted, picked up my mums local paper, and bought a lovely cherry cake as well.

Sitting here starring at the big wet patch coming down my wallpaper above my fireplace - think its time I ventured into the loft, to see whats going on, although if i'm up there I'll probably think the roof is coming off with the winds at present.

Then its time to get sorting, which reminds me - another item to go on my Santa List. MK book.

  • Morning, and Desmond has passed, leaving a trail behind him.

I still have what looks like a wet patch but it's not wet anymore, its just turned my lovely sparkle (In the sun) wallpaper a different colour at one edge:(, thank goodness I have enough left to wallpaper the whole wall above the fire again.

Lost/misplaced my doormat, it'll be somewhere along the road no doubt, and found a satellite dish in my garden, and neighbours trampoline has done a flip and ended upside down.

Sounds like a very good weekend to stay inside, AFK, hope you have stayed warm and dry.

Although I did find reading the MK book good, it's very short - a few hours tops - and there is a LOT on t'interweb about it too ... I'd been through quite a few yootube and articles before I read the book and think that was helpful. The Japanese in which she originally wrote doesn't always translate brilliantly, which I think is part of it. So still a good santa request, but do have a mooch around the web in the meantime if you want some inspiration

Has it been that long? Doesn't time fly by when enjoying yourself:rotfl:?

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and looking forward to having a Healthy and Happy New Year when it comes.

    Well you did ask Lil, so here goes;
    • Applied to Clydesd@le to switch bank account. ongoing problem that is still not sorted/switched, although they did throw in a 0% credit card with some silly limit that I will never use.;)
    • Been for hosp appt - ongoing - but hope to be back at work the next couple of weeks:p
    • Called into work for yet another HR meeting.
    • Claimed £30 from P/cone and have about £45 on V/opinions for vouchers still to be claimed & a couple of £ in TCB:D
    • e/bay has done me well this winter, which was very unexpected, but very welcomed.:D
    • Received £280 plus from backdated dividends from shares I have.:D
    • Treated Mum, brother & Wife to meal for Mum's BIrthday:D
    • Received Yankee candlles at Christmas, amongst other things:D
    • Had around £38 credit in a voucher website kgb - ?? - Boom - that has went bust - doubt I'll see that again.:(
    • Bought large Gammon Joint from Mr S@ that was "off" - too late to take back as all stores were closed by the time I discovered it.:(
    • Have had to help relatives out a bit but with everything crossed won't be for too long.:o
    • Thinking of ditching the spanish bank as their charges go up soon, although happy with the service, i'm not going to pay for it, when other banks will pay me:D
    • Done a MK in my kitchen, so works like a dream now:D
    • Joined the MFiT challenge and the 2016 challenge:D
    • Will maybe do a post tomorrow with targets for 2016 - Next Year and update my signature:D
    • and finally, why do you never get a straight answer from H@lifax when querying the total figure you can o/p? Phoned over 2 days, and have had 3 different answers
    • a) You've paid the limit
    • b) 10% of the mortgage balance when you re-mortgaged on 1/9/15 and
    • c) 10% of your mortgage balance as at the 1/1/15, even though you took out fixed rate on 1/9/15
    • yet again, just another tactic to delay me being mortgage free as soon as I can:mad:
    • that being said - made an o/p of £1500:j if they penalise me - I'm just ready for an argument:)
So with all that done, (hope i've not forgotten anything) it's just left for me to say I Look forward to your company next year and wish you all -

A Very Healthy, Happy and :money: New Year for 2016.

Great OP there, but H@lifax are a nightmare...have also had 3 different answers regarding DS's Reg Saver renewal  Shows how complicated the rules are or badly trained the staff are!

Here's to a Happy New Year
    Back on the DFW Wagon:

    CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
    CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
    Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/18
  • Had to have a good think and use some of my EF money, but told myself I had all next year to replace it, but the start of the year will be very slow as far as o/p goes.

Happy New Year to you, DS and Mum.

Had a look at Mortgage figure online but as usual the interest is added on but monthly payment has not yet been taken off. Will wait and see.

Today had family NY dinner at brothers, and had a euro ticket bought for me, so a NSD:) going to try and keep a record of the nsd's and what my spending goes on. Will see.

    NSD 1/366 (leap year:D)

Thought for the day - if you work an extra day in a leap year - do you get an extra day's pay:p

  • Hello AFK.
Liking the optimism about the extra days pay in a leap year! Don't think my CFO could be persuaded with that though! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
