Not a good sleeper anyway and as I needed to get up early my brain thought the best way to not sleep through the alarm was ...... basically not to sleep .

Life is good though - we are off to Granada for Christmas (hence getting up early, we are getting a choo choo :D), forecast is 17-20 during the day but cold at night and there will be snow on the mountains around us, should be lovely. It also has Europe's biggest Christmas tree :).

This is the weather we came out here for! Glorious and with that big yellow ball in the sky all day :T. We were back in England for a week and it was so grey :(

By March it will be warming up nicely :)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

  • Well, have a lovely time, weather here is dull, grey and wet and not as cold as it could be :) long time since I have seen the sun or felt the warmth :( a holiday or two is due :D now.

    Don't miss that choo choo.

    Congratulations :beer::j:D:T

It has been an honour and privilege to join your journey. Now you just have to requestion your badge on the mortgage free roll of honour.

I am thrilled for you, and hope you keep posting about how your life evolves from here as I think this us just the beginning. Sorry I missed the post last night. I did look for it yesterday morning as I was doing my own celebrating Friday night.

Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

    Your friend, Bexster :)
  • Thank you Bexster, it has been great knowing that I have had good company from day 1 on this journey, so would like to say a big "Thank You" and I hope I will be able to post from time to time, so many things going on in my head right now, I need a future plan .

First is to save, that 3 years mortgage payments out on loan at the beginning turned into 16 years mortgage payments  cause my mortgage ended up so low :D Hopefully will get that back soon.

Next will to be get the property up to scratch which will take time, effort and some money, meanwhile I'll hopefully be off to Spain just for a few weeks (I'm still working full time atm :() at end of March let's see how I like it ;)

Nothing set in stone, so will just evolve as things go.

    What's this celebration of your own  I wonder . . . :)

Future planning sounds fun AFK. Please consider posting here if only for my entertainment :D

As I was also finishing my mortgage, you were as inspirational to me as I was to you, so thank you very much indeed too.

House renovations sound fun if costly. You must start planning that day off a week thing as a weekly measure :D

The celebrations are not of the sort you think. I shall raise a glass to you however today.

    Bexster :)
  • Thank you Bexster,
We have both came a long way in such a short space of time. (Trumpet blowing time) :rotfl:

I have great ambitions re the house, but kind of know, that's not going to happen :) however a girl can dream.

Work does have a work/life balance policy, but not sure our Management know or agree with that policy for some.
Nice to know you were celebrating same night as me  be sure to let me know of any other nights I should be celebrating :)

Have a Lovely Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year.

  • Today is yet another anniversary - 6 years to the day I moved in.

That was after 9 months of renovations - a bit slow I know, however I got there in the end,
lived with my mum for the 9 months (well, fed and slept there & washing and ironing done :)) and when I received my Christmas Card - it said, "Your 1st Christmas in your new Home", I knew it was time to move out:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Off to work now, hope everyone has a lovely time :xmassign: :xmastree: Merry Christmas
