Well, have recovered from the wild winter weather we had at the weekend and back in full swing to full time work.
Countdown on both payday (tomorrow) and a/l - 7 more working days. Both are most welcome
Finally I have a new mind mantra for my spends :money: - I'm putting them on a diet
Managed to take an item back so £20
refunded but spent half on hair dyes and deodorants which will keep me going for the next couple of months. I listen to work mates to hear them say I spend £90 a month at the hairdressers  enough to make your hair stand on end :rotfl:
Saving - around £85/month
Of course I would never pay that anyway, well not every month:rotfl:
Still have M@arks' vouchers, which could be earmarked for a nice dinner for 2 deal
Saving - around £40-£50
This mortgage won't pay itself, and already planning come summer
I will be walking both to and from work.
Saving £32/month
So plans afoot, hope I can keep it going a little longer than an actual diet

Oh.my.lord clootie dumpling- do you have a recipe? My sadly departed Auntie used to make me that when I would stay in the Lake District with her most summers as a child!
Naughtily she used to slice it and fry it for witha dry-up :O delicious but so naughty!!!First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).

Hi Kittenkirst
Clootie Dumpling - nothing to beat the smell and taste as it is just freshly made - you (I) always have to have a slice as soon as ready and slightly cooled
I have just been testing out different recipes each time
http://allrecipes.co.uk/recipe/8576/microwave-clootie-dumpling.aspx - missed out step 3 in method (hate all that) OR

Please let me know how you get on.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -
Onto that Diet  I mentioned. Well its starting today as weekend was a spendy one
However not all bad as it was Christmas money I had left, so I now have luxury new bedding and after having seen the price elsewhere - going back for the bottom sheet and spare pillowcases as very reasonable. (Still using Xmas money) And also bought myself another Jacket for work.
Now the hard part - Make lunches every day this week so no spends, other than bus fares to work which I put to one side for the whole week, and since I stop on Friday for a whole 9 days (boy am I looking forward to that) will see how that goes.
Adding target countdown to my signature since it's so close, might give me the final push to make more of an effort.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -
Very busy day at work but did manage a meet up with work mate in another dept for a catch up at lunch time.
A NSD clocked up for me.
Bargain at the weekend was mini bottles of fresh orange juice from 30p to 15p from L1dls
100% NOT from concentrate.
After having nearly the month of January off, it's a mighty effort to start eb@ying again, but so it must be. (Well maybe after my weeks leave). I'll start prepping them just now in readiness.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -

Up with the larks this morning, ready for business. Lunch made, so I'm hoping for another nsd, if I can manage tomorrow as well that means it's a week shorter till next payday

Tell myself payday is not until this week as don't feel I really get paid until mortgage comes off.
It's going to be a very tight few months - till end of April
where I hope to get back to normal (whatever that is)

OH man tattie scones! You are totally speaking my language- my current gym plans don’t really allow for tattie scones but I have saved the clootie dumpling links and will try making it as a ‘treat’ one weekend in Feb

Thanks for sharing!

Back from my week away at the caravan, was a bit cold so now waiting on a huge bill arriving :(down side to having a holiday bolt hole

Good News - Items re-listed late last night on the bay and already have 1 item sold:)
Not so Good - Have been reading interest rates set to rise in May and again in November, which is making me re-think my plans, so it's out with the calculator - again.
(Thoughts are - big monthly payments, 10% o/p's then when MF target/d-date arrives, then pay off and pay penalty - which may be cheaper than difference % interest rate atm). Any thoughts ??
Have been eating out of freezer buying just essentials. Nice ££'s savings there.
There's more - but can't wait to get on the calculator once again, to see what's the best choice. Will update later.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -
