I get all my fruit and veg from a wholesaler. Half the price of supermarkets and double the size on average very MSE :D

Can't say I'm surprised by that. Really, the supermarkets are way way expensive. As has been pointed out, probably several years ago somewhere elsewhere on this website, the supermarkets rely on people there being lazy and not bothering to check elsewhere and then they end up paying way over the odds on a load of other stuff that could have been got much cheaper! People don't investigate the alternatives - supermarkets seem cheap for some things, but the price of the 'convenience' of everything being under one roof, is that other things they mark up.

I even considered buying from a market the other week - sometimes they can be cheaper (probably not than wholesalers) - but I thought 5 apples for £1 there was still too much (and can be beaten by some supermarkets).

The ridiculous one I thought the other day - how sometimes people just shop in supermarkets where they happen to be - was some breakfast cereal bowls that are on £2 each:eek::eek: and ridiculous 3 for 2 at Sains - thus seeing unnecessary buying in triplicate in order to make a "saving". There are currently some breakfast cereal bowls, probably same size, at Home Bargains or somewhere like that for £1 each. (Just one for a pound - why buy 3:eek: for £4? And many people, that may not want three, may end up being stung for £2 each!) Supermarkets are way too dear. (Of course, that's a gross generalisation: there are some things that, sometimes, in some supermarket places, are cheaper, and ways of getting other things much cheaper than they are outside of supermarkets:D, but also other things that are way way more expensive and will see you paying way over the odds if you only shop in the supermarkets!)

What happened to T Eday Luncheon Meat 250g at 55p?

Argh, Mr T corrected the weight online:(:

Sadly, correctly N/A therefore it now seems. I wasn't aware this was a glitch previously, that, at one time, I benefitted from:cool:.

Must admit to an evening snooze then a nice catchup sitting in the garden. Lovely evening so made the most of it.
Nanny so sorry your DS had to go through this but glad he was there for someone who needed him:(

Rearranged my freezer tonight and took 2 of the large you moo tubs round to a neighbour with small children. I only like the little pots but thanks to Jelly I have had a very good supply. Was nice to see how pleased she was.

No art tutor today as she wanted to take her son to look round Oxford uni so we gave her the day off. Someone unlocked the class so the few of us who turned up still had a nice time. Big fans in room. We have a lad in his late 20 in the class who is autistic but also quite deaf. He doesn't attend her learning disabilities classes as it upsets him if any problems with other students. Anyway was lovely he turned up today as bit out of his comfort zone with no tutor. I played tea lady and he got a refill:D
So I have had a nice day being nice.
Rounded off by Mr T on way home where I bought lots of lollies as I find only thing that soothes a hayfever throat.

Sounds like most have had good days and deed has been coming up with some glitches. Not allowed to add to toiletries stash at the moment.
