Two bars? I keep rejecting prices like this as they never come close to the 'value' range soaps:doh:.

So - no-one expect any Pears soap to appear on any M list anytime soon, as I keep ignoring any pricing everytime it's never as low as 15p-20p. Yet the Pears soap may be better than the standard 'value'-range ones. I wonder do the value-range soaps have any antibacterial effect? They seem a bit hard on my skin the old SP ones and must be all sorts of bugs lurking in the bar:eek:. Yet, before all these "antibacterial handwashes" and "exfoliating facial wash creams" we managed perfectly fine! I tend to think they have just spawned an industry that has convinced the vast majority of people to spend (glitching-exempt) far more money than necessary on things that, really, are no better than the cheap soap option that, before all the marketing, we would have gone to in the past.

In fact, I've just looked searched for "antibacterial soap", and, interesting (or not!:rotfl:) found this:

    http://www.webmd.com/cold-and-flu/news/20070817/plain-soap-as-good-as-antibacterial

Apparently, plain soap is just as good as antibacterial - now there, what a surprise!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: In other words: no surprise at all! Seems merely, IMO, to prove my point that it's all marketing when, in fact, the plain cheap soaps are just as good. No surprise at all for me:( therefore that, yet again, the 'no frills' SP/equivalent things turn out to be just as good, if not better, that those alternatives they want us to buy at way more cost. Value Ice Cream - turns out to contain less sugar than some of the brands. Value Cooking Sauce - turns out healthier than the expensive brands (yet again: source for this was the BBC series on cutting people's spending).

Now, which one do you think has less sugar/salt/fat? Yet again, the value ones - no surprise now to me whatsoever whilst the other people, on these TV shows, are always surprised. It confounds their expectations. Meaning that, whatever they expect, yet again nearly always turns out to be incorrect. It's those generally-held assumptions (which are almost always wrong) and people's perceptions of things (which are usually completely incorrect) that enable them to sell products at much greater cost to many people when, in fact, as usual, the cheapest versions are usually the best.

[EDIT: That said, I wasn't happy with the Savers tinned ham that cleared out several months ago from M at seemingly excellent price of 39p a tin. I wouldn't, in my view, even feed them to a dog. Therefore, the Ye Olde Oak (YOO) Ham once again makes an appearance on the M list now it's gone back down to £1 today (or maybe yesterday) (YOO is 300g, Savers for comparison was 200g), maybe for shopping from tomorrow afternoon or perhaps need to wait till Friday for this to be updated (assuming it ever gets into the system at all) - much nicer in my view. I would not eat the Savers Ham, so that was all a waste of money:(, bought quite a few tins as well - never mind:(:(.]

Alright, I'm getting into 'heavy' mode and not chatting, usual for me:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:!

I really am out of touch with 'small talk'!:o:o:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
(I don't apologise as, perhaps, it provides useful information - if though probably not best at 20 minutes to midnight!)

Okay, totally unrelated, for now, goodnight!:)

Oh - I should have mentioned - forgot (temporarily of course) - that there are, or have been, a number of offers on coffee (not good ones, Rappor going to £2.24, own brands on 2 for £4) that previously would have got to the list but are nowhere near as good as the £1 RTC prices on 227g that we saw several months ago (those prices seemingly all gone now - although Anytime Decaff. continues to be instore in M - now marked £2 something and 2 for £4:eek:). The £1 prices for 227g packs worked out cheaper than SP Coffee 100g at 47p! Therefore, just to let you know, I'm afraid any coffee offers are just being excluded by me now. When I first saw Rappor back at £2.24 (and that would have been Tvs M) a couple of weeks or so ago, I thought normally I would have included that, but now it seems just too expensive ever to make the grade! Why have this expensive thing when others were £1 before etc.? So, I just ended up not bothering taking any of the coffee offers (and there were several) as they were all just too dear nowadays.

So, I'm having that "problem". I doubt I'll ever take any details of coffee offers ever again:rotfl:. But, to let you know, £2.24 half price on Rappor coffee jars - and £1.24 on Kenco Cappio sachets - see, I remember them all!:D:rotfl: - can I have a guess at the weight - is it about 149g or something?:rotfl::rotfl: - probably v.v.close! - so near yet... - these prices just don't come anywhere near to money-saving now in my view.

    Ridiculous price for apples!
I think 750g Gala Apples pack 99p in M. I've gone for the Kids apples (approx. 770 to perhaps 780g) at £1 instead, because more apples (even if [no] 'fun'-size) therefore as they are smaller, they last longer. I suspect you get around 4 or, if you are lucky, 5 apples in a 600g:( pack now. They just go so quickly and then paying yet more! 9 apples, even if smaller size - lasts twice as long! So, that's my approach now.

What was wrong with Braeburn 600g at 85p? Even though even that's a rip-off IMO!:rotfl::rotfl:

So - SP Creme Caramel didn't pick up 68p M price - alright, maybe a recent pack-size change (in M). So, like as if they'd never been there, they just disappear, as if unnoticed (obviously not now:rotfl:), from the M list. They've gone folks - at least that should stop some Savvy-tempter buying!:D:T:rotfl::money:

If I also stop some tempter-buying by revealing that the Nestle Rolo Limited Edition Dark Dessert (4 pack) does not compare against W - at least it did not when I bought it:o:o about a week ago, attempting for W's then price of 96p. (:rotfl:I notice now on more expensive mbuy offer in W than their previous 'introductory' price.) They did compare against M at straight £1. No use as I was getting Toblerones:mad::mad::p:rotfl:. However, to stop any comparisons against M - £1 is way too dear to try to compare against!:D:money:

They won't get onto the list ever again if M is that price. Now needs to be 96p or below. I noticed S were now 65p on the 'plain' Rolo Dessert - seemingly an excellent price... then I noticed  they are just 2 pack version so way way more expensive! (What a surprise on that, in the end:rotfl:!) So no, no tempting desserts.

I get all my fruit and veg from a wholesaler. Half the price of supermarkets and double the size on average very MSE :D
