Good afternoon am feeling sad but very proud of my DS...he has just rang me to say he sat with a young man who obviously wanted to end his life until he slipped away:AMy DS is aHGV driver and was coming along the Motorway and saw a guy laying on the ground with a couple of people beside him so he pulled over to see if he could help and could see he was fading fast so he knelt beside him and held his hand till he went and said"Mum I hope there will be someone around to hold my hand when the time comes":AThe young man had cut his wrist and then jumped of a bridge onto the Motorway.I was worried about my DS but he said he is okay.
I apologise for the way I have offloaded this on the thread but it was such an unexpected phone call.
That is so very sad, he must have been so unhappy to do something like that. How lovely of your DS to give him some comfort in his last minutes. Let us just pray that he is now at peace ......

morning no afternoon curl girl (with a space:D)
don't think there is any probs with us having similar names as neither of us post that often, and I'm sure 90% of people just skim read the posts and never look to see who has written it.

    Thanks,
don't want to upset anyone, only here to help and share, not to cause a riot! x

That's what we are here for nanny to help to support each other.
This type of thing is so awful, the so called pressure of modern day living!! DS done a very courageous and heart warming thing, it takes someone special to do what he done to a complete stranger, not everyone would have been able to respond the way he did. It will affect him as we are all human and have emotions, but with the support from his caring family he will be able to put this incident on back burner knowing he was there for this young man.:)
