Gooseberries, and there will be blackcurrants and white currants at some point. The fruit is always hard to see as we have so many bushes. I will have to do a picture so you can PYO. :rotfl:

Oh and the apple trees, are loaded this year too. The blossom stayed for ages as we didn't have any wind. :T

They mostly use it for downloading films from applestore or Netflix. I think its more to do with the wireless but i'm hard wiring my house with network cable next weekend. Just waiting for the system from dabs. I expect that to solve the issue. network plugs don't seem to work in my house very good.

Then I can finally install my super duper alarm and cctv system.

    Wow that' a good haul.

Think OH leaves them until they are really really ripe as he likes to eat them as they are. We do have loads.

The gooseberries are headed for the fermenting bucket  just looks like I'll end up with more bottles than I'd planned for, but that's not a bad thing :D

I should explain, at the moment we have virgin broadband and that is fast and 4 of us using it on 2 devices each plus the iplayer on TV. So that has to stay.

Then we have sky TV, because the men won't let it go.

    Then we have BT phone.....

So something needs to give. So I thought we could move the phone to virgin, but apparently Sky multiroom won't work with virgin phones.....

We had VM for broadband and phone for a while and switched out TV to Sky (got it free for a year at the time so seemed rude not to) - no issue at all with multiroom (after all, it is not an always on connection, it needed simply to be able to phone home ... and I am not sure how it did that as I didn't plug it in because I didn't want wires traipsing across the house :)).

We now are back to VM for phone (not required but cheaper package overall), 100MB BB, XL TV, 2 TiVo and a V+. It is quite a good deal (not as good as previously, but still better than I could get as a new customer) - search out "Virgin Media" "Mates Rates" and see if the current deals are worth getting compared to cashback sites/new customer offers - I found a very helpful "mate" on one of the other forums offering to refer people (think they had an offer where they got into a prize draw or something). From memory, so long as you were adding at least one service you qualified.

If you grow grapes, as the bunches firm and get bigger you need to cut out the tiny grapes. This gives the others more space to fill out and get plumper. My grandad used to grow them many years ago

Off to have my meal, may see you later

That's what monty don was doing the other day on a gardening programme I accidentally clicked on:) he was cutting out the tiniest grapes in order for the others to flourish.

Thanks for all the good wishes, DS2 knows as he heard OH say 'matter of days'.. and guessed. We have not plucked up the courage to tell DS1 and DS3, instead we went out for lunch and got drunk! Great British way of managing a problem, and now I am obsessed with the fact I bought a group for afternoon tea for 8 people with the purpose of taking the kids, my mum and his parents.... I think we may just take the kids and let DS2 eat everything!

We had a parents talk last night at school about the university system and all it entails...very interesting, told me what I think I had already cobbled together from various sources...a pleasant evening with some wine and cheese and chat...

.....then I came home and balled my eyes out as it finally hit home that next year, not even this year, next year ....there will be an empty bedroom at home!!!!

Bless, when DS1 was getting ready to go I cried for weeks. On the morning we were taking him, I was discovered sat in the bottom of his wardrobe crying!

We took him to Uni, bless it was awful. All this kids walking around, no one speaking to anyone. So we made them all sandwiches, sat them around the table, gave the beer and told them they were going to the the organised party that night... Went we left I was :) as I knew he would be okay.

Now they are all back, and I don't have enough space....or privacy... and there is washing/rubbish all over the place! :T:T:T:T Loving it x

Mine would both do that. Automatic assumption that I would be so desperate to see them that I would be waiting at the airport.

A friend once turned up at the airport with a stream of welcome home balloons and flowers, to her 18 yr old son that had been away for 2 days. She was then banned from meeting his flights - maybe that is the way to go!

Welcome to my world. Day 1 when youngest returns to uni and I miss the noise and bustle. Day 2 and I delight that the house is tidy and stays that way.

Silvercar... just my way of thinking. I can no longer walk to the loo naked!

I love the balloons idea.... I still think he would want us to collect him (to save money.... the apple did not fall far from the tree!)
