Blackcurrants are few because I pulled a lot of dead wood out of the bush last year, have a few apples on the tree, but the grapes don't come through till later in the year. As for the rhubarb I can't keep up with that  Not the best time for the freezer to conk out
Don't know how many strawberries we have, going to pick them in the morning then get an equal amount of sugar. It is a long while since I have had enough to make jam
Are the red gooseberries sweeter I have lots of the green but no one likes them.so have thought of getting some red ones.
going to make rhubarb and strawberry jam tomorrow, and some plain strawberry jam have been stocking up on sugar for preserving with glitchy shops I have 28 bags so far0 -

Thank goodness, in a way, that I did another shop as I forgot something:o:o on my earlier shop. More money than sense, as went back and bought another All Purp.Cleaner. on this new shop.
My post from earlier this afternoon is now out of date, as the T PP system has updated in the few hours since:eek: and is now comparing it against M at 50p!:
T A S M
1x TESCO EDAY VALUE ALL PURPOSE CLEANER 1LITRE
- £0.25 n/a £0.80 £0.50
They watch every second of this thread obviously, and update manually as soon as they hear anything to stop any minor glitches!:( (All it would have allowed you to do was use as an item to count in the 10 vs M, wouldn't have got it any cheaper.) Fortunately my shop was against A. A sort of "in the unlikely event that, after every shop that you do that has 10 items, somewhere else is cheaper".
So, Eday Cleaner no use anymore vs M: that worked for all of a few hours as far as I know. I don't know why I'm doing a run on Ts!
This worked (lost 3p, compared to buying in 3s Avs T, or, maybe, having to buy 2 vs M - I only wanted one:o, no need to fall for T's mbuy offer in T, as shown by T PP they are *not* individual price of £1 in M contrary to what is showing on m.com and msm - they are £1.35 and 2 for £2 instore, supposedly until 28/6, in M - might go to straight £1 until 19/7 thereafter:rotfl: - no use, A's already cheaper, only use if they did that (and if they compared) might be allow you then to buy just one in A (vs M) but not yet...).
T A S M
1x BIRDS EYE 10 CHICKEN FINGERS 250G
- £1.35 £0.93 n/a £1.35
Might be valid for an hour or so:rotfl:.0 -

When they ripen they are a lot sweeter than the green ones. Still not "sweet" sweet, but sweeter.
We have a lot of jam already, scared of making rhubarb jam too, but have to think of something else to do with it :eek:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

rhubarb and strawberry jam is really nice, you should give it a go. it seems to be the house favourite and lots of neighbours love it rhubarb on its own is not so popular , rhubarb and ginger is also quite nice.
shall get a red then and give it a try thanks0 -
