I ditched sky TV last year and haven't regretted it.
I have Samsung TV with all the on demands, hard drive to record and show box via tablet (HDMI). I upgraded to fibre optic and pay £5 for that and £16.41 line rental (grrrrr)

Not sure I understand that, but we are all iOS not Android, so I guess it is not for us.

We had VM for broadband and phone for a while and switched out TV to Sky (got it free for a year at the time so seemed rude not to) - no issue at all with multiroom (after all, it is not an always on connection, it needed simply to be able to phone home ... and I am not sure how it did that as I didn't plug it in because I didn't want wires traipsing across the house :)).

That is what I wanted to do but the account manager reckons that virgin phone won't work with sky HD+ on demand :( We have multi room, so they do both need to be connected.
We now are back to VM for phone (not required but cheaper package overall), 100MB BB, XL TV, 2 TiVo and a V+. It is quite a good deal (not as good as previously, but still better than I could get as a new customer) - search out "Virgin Media" "Mates Rates" and see if the current deals are worth getting compared to cashback sites/new customer offers - I found a very helpful "mate" on one of the other forums offering to refer people (think they had an offer where they got into a prize draw or something). From memory, so long as you were adding at least one service you qualified.

Do you get a proper multi-room service with those Tivo boxes? Reading the virgin website it said something about not being able to stream more than one at a time.

Right... I only know one joke and it is rude (no surprise there... do not read if you are easily offended.... I bet you all read!!).

The reason this joke sticks in my mind is that my sister told it at the Christmas table when our 92 year old nana was there... she laughed.

Question - 'What is the difference between your job and your wife'

Answer - ' After 7 years your job still

    sucks'

I have just come home with 7lbs of gooseberries off ONE plant (there are 4 more plants of similar size ), 3lb of strawberries, a few blackcurrants and the smallest raspberries that have ever fallen into my mouth :rotfl: my grapevine has teeny tiny bunches on it, but it did last year too and came to nowt :(

We have a bush full of gooseberries, they are the red ones and they are turning red quite nicely:D We also have redcurrants ripening, and blueberries swelling up nicely :D Blackcurrants are few because I pulled a lot of dead wood out of the bush last year, have a few apples on the tree, but the grapes don't come through till later in the year. As for the rhubarb I can't keep up with that  Not the best time for the freezer to conk out :( Don't know how many strawberries we have, going to pick them in the morning then get an equal amount of sugar. It is a long while since I have had enough to make jam :)
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

That's what monty don was doing the other day on a gardening programme I accidentally clicked on:) he was cutting out the tiniest grapes in order for the others to flourish.

He knows his stuff then does Monty :) What channel is he on please?
