Perhaps it's time to take another couple of paracetamol now (five and a half, nearly six hours after my last two). I'm not quite back in more severe pain yet (or, in any event, I avoided having that entirely, fortunately, by taking the earlier pills before the numbness wore off). As I'm not feeling much pain, perhaps sometimes can you not feel pain by doing something else or by not thinking about the pain? To what extent can you "think yourself better" I wonder. Nonetheless, if it gets going a bit more (or perhaps in about half an hour's time), I will have the next dose.
Don't know why I'm telling anyone all this:rotfl:. Anyway, goodnight and stay safe and keep as well as you can!:wave:0 -
I posted those examples as thats what I paid for them in morries today for my daughter
Quite right to post them and draw our attention to it.:T
They really are £1 in M (of course I knew nothing).
As usual, therefore, that means they might not compare against that on the APG but they probably will do. If they have red offer label (I assume) over them then, I don't suppose you noticed, do they have full price smaller labels underneath those red border labels? If they do, and if that position is reflective of M more generally, then they could still pick up full price (that's my past experience) but that, if the "SELs" underneath the offer labels also have the offer price, then they should pick up the offer price. Probably in a day or two's time, and not yet, as this has gone on offer today in M?
You know that, if I'd been there today, I'd have been peering behind offer labellings and investigating into the texture of various attractive objects like I do:rotfl:. In this case, the small "BC" labels (usually white) that may lie behind offer labelling.
I check behind labels sometimes, just to see that I'm not being ripped off:rotfl::rotfl:.
EDIT: In fact: :T:T:T, as people do need to be posting these things, now that I am no longer doing so (for now at least - I may not do so on Wednesday, don't know if I will, probably won't - may not do so in future or maybe, I don't know - I may feel like it one day, you never know). Having had nicer weather earlier today, summertime soon seemed to stop for some of us - clouded over tonight:(. What's that one all about? Not liking that idea - though I suspect the Met. people have it wrong again and should only start summer on Summer Solstice, although of course metrologically it begins on the stroke of 1st June (like those expiry dates on packets and tins etc. sadly - the weather doesn't immediately, on the dot, become all summer). Let's hope we have more summer - I gather there's some tomorrow, but the weekend:(:( seems may be a bit of write-off. What a shame if so - hope they are wrong! I want more summer please - I'm sure we'll get some, hopefully a lot, but what are these British weathers like sometimes?:eek: And time to remember the suncream etc. (the ones probably bought in December:rotfl:).0 -

something I really never understood until I went on a sensory perception course to understand what it's all about.
His request comes from the bullying stuff at schooluntil then he was very unaware that other kids find him 'different' which was quite frankly lovely. It meant he didn't try to be different to avoid it. The bullying has stopped since the incident where they made the bullies sit down with me :eek: but (and it might be his age as well) he is very self aware at the moment.
The truth is he looks totally goofyin the cutest way....to me anyway. And he moves awkwardly because of his physical problems and it's a really sad time for me that he's become aware of it. If it wasn't this it would have been something else. He's spending a lot of time looking in mirrors lately and really 'seeing' himself.
....growing upit's emotional stuff
And yes...E.....I'm recording it
Sorry just seen this post as still catching up.
It is good ds2 has discovered mirrors.
I understand he feels the pain. I have an altered perception to pain. Reflexologist told me I feel thing just before they happen. I sort of understand this.
I guess you use clippers to get the job over with quickly and I also understand this has become traumatic. When people are scared of the dentist they are slightly chemically relaxed by dentist first. Is this something you could ask gp about?
wondering if the trauma is part of the pain so if can reduce it could overtime reduce the trauma and re educate the whole haircut situation.
people do it for dentist, flying anything that could cause extreme stress.
I know you probably hate the thought but think of it as a re education need not a 'chill him out and get it done quick' and might help you all.
Like I said I actually understand where ds2 is coming from on this so just letting you know how it could be tackled. Gp is best person to talk to.
Hope this insight helps.
Busy day unpacking the bits I have bought back from dad's over last few weeks.
Not the art work though that is still in car. Think will have to hang in mums spare room until I move so do not damage frames.
Feels good and have my downstairs cloakroom back as where I was storing boxes.
Sold some stuff on Fb too. Lots to clear as do not want to take hoarding with me. Cia with listing individual things but found people will happily buy batches of different items and either car boot what they don't want or sell on.
So much easier for me as find coordinating lots of buyers tricky.
Still getting more than I paid for things as most as bits of glitches or unwanted presents. Got rid of loads of not stuff as have more than enough.
Going to try a clothing bundle tomorrow.
Hope everyone is enjoying the weather. Not really quite warm enough to sit out here but perfect for drying washing.

In fact, I'll reorganise this post and now put this at the beginning:
That I don't claim to cure anything, a disclaimer again, and any serious non-emergency medical issues should see your GP etc. (I want to end with a nice thought;).)
Interesting insight, about pain, and about how differently different people feel things. I'd go with the 'thinking yourself to feel no pain' personally, if possible, although that's just a total throwaway comment. (Like asking me to ignore that background (for me, may as well be foreground) music I hear - the more you try to distract away from something, the more you end up concentrating on it instead! I think you have to focus entirely on something else - that can be a way - TRIGGER WARNING - of avoiding depression - way to help is to think of something nice instead, rather than focusing on it by now talking about it like I am now doing. So, forget that, think of nice things, whatever they are!)
Goodnight!!:wave::wave:0 -
:eek::eek::eek:
Car (focus) has failed big time. Was quoted just under £400 to get it through MOT now they have the back wheel arches off rust bucket been up to have a look and they reckon quote will double.
And to think OH and mechanic talked me out of getting a new well different ie not brand new car last year. :mad:
I got the clutch done last autumn as deciding I was keeping it and paid out for two new front tyres as I had a flat few weeks ago. Not happy.
Have the option of a 2012 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 for £4,900 which seems a very good price. I could go looking but not sure would get a better deal. Or I could pay out and get car repaired and run it for another year. But it will be due brakes and air con needs seeing to.
I hate making decisions. :eek:
Years ago I bought a 3 year old corsa. Kept it 7 years and only money I every spent on it was the normal tyres and wiper blades. Dd had it for 2 years after me as her first car. I would definitely change the car. Look at what you need to spend not what you have already spent. I loved my corsage and was very economical.
Another factor is car tax is likely to be less than the focus so another saving.

Goodnight!!:wave::wave:
I'm literally just nipping in before bed!
Savvy I LOVE it that you are sounding happy and freeyou really do sound refreshed and relaxed and it's a tonic indeed!
it's nice to see a little of the 'real' you. You're posts overthe last 24 hours have really resonated with me. Your honesty is just lovely and I do get a sense of just enjoying yourselfwhich is what I'd always wished for you.
I'm not a dentist person eitherand it's doubly hard to pay someone to inflict such pain on you :eek: but well done son :rotfl::rotfl:
I'm not being rudely absent. I had to pitch myself to a 'team' Lord sugar style this morning and I wasn't comfortable with it AT ALL :eek: I feel I've gone way past selling myselfbut I am learning some 'team spirit'
yeh right :rotfl::rotfl: give us the money :rotfl:I didn't put my face on at 5.30 to be turned down :eek: :rotfl:
I am consciously ignoring your posts on pain because I need to get to bed and won't be drawn into conversationor I will look a sight tomorrow :eek:
