This afternoon I've been sorting all things car for DS1...
I have managed a slightly better test date for him...well at least this one is in July rather than August...

....and then I tackled the insurance quotes,shocking...
I guess theres not much way round a provisional driver or indeed a new driver....but I have managed to reduce the premium with the help of agreeing to the black box....

He picks up the new car on Saturday, and is just a little excited...

must remember to go and buy a set of L plates
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

according to this website at least 53% of the year but that was a very good year - apparently you learn to ignore it

Ha Ha... I was the southerner in shorts in Manchester in the rain on Saturday...

By the time we left on Sunday it was a little brighter but still quite cloudy and we didnt really see much more of the sun until heading down towards Brum....

Whats that phrase from years back..."wish I'd brought me brolly!"

Brilliant, July is just around the corner. Insurance for new drivers is absolutely shocking. All three of our sons' first cars were second hand and the insurance cost nearly as much as the cars. They didn't like the idea of having the smaller engines but insuring anything bigger was out of the question.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Just realised one of the customers in my cars was from my home town and I used to know the family really well.

    Small world eh ? :)

Some people will use any excuse for time off tweets. As you say, rubber gloves if you don't want to get it wet but seriously, I wonder if everything came to a halt at home too. Glad you got a nice new member of staff, it makes for a better working atmosphere if your fellow workers are nice. I used to work for !!!!!! until I took early retirement. To say there were some proper slackers there would be an understatement....but then if you can get away with it and don't care about the pressure it puts on others.....unfortunately that is some peoples attitude...
