Morning all - RL is taking over this week so I am just popping in while I drink my tea - making sure everyone is coping nicely so far ...
We had terrible rain in the night but at least the garden is watered - I cleared all of the spring forget me nots out yesterday, it looks ransacked. But at least I've got loads to fill the gaps - I've been collected plants for weeks and potting them on and yesterday in B & Q a lovely man was reducing the clearance section down to 20p each :j - so I got a car load for less than a fiver.
Anyway that's the plan if it ever warms up and if the postie ever gets here - or perhaps he is not coming after all ..
COS has a new freebie drink but its only from Boots - - I imagine its only bigger Boots with a fridge and our little one doesn't have one.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Nearly forgot to tell you my big news - I am on the new botty wipes trail - OH will be impressed :rotfl:“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. That brings back memories, I won fights to Italy, so we flew into Pisa stayed at a cottage in the hills near Lucca found a super traditional small village Italian restaurant, we went there 4 out of 5 nights, We hired a car gosh driving in Italy at the time was not for the faint hearted with all the beeping of the horns!! We had a drive on day early evening stopped at some traffic lights and saw several police cars down a service road parallel with the main road and then heard several gunshots:eek: as soon as the lights changed to green we were gone like a bat out of hell:eek::eek:
True story, it wasn't til later we started to think about what had happened- frightening
The roads are no better now - much worse - even in a coach you feel terrified, driving in Italy you really do take your life into your own hands.
Apparently you can fly into Pisa using the cheap airlines, get the train from Pisa to Lucca and then at the station hire bikes so you can ride all along the walls. The city is small enough just to walk around.
We were there in November - all the locals who were used to searing heat where in full winter clothing, jackets, scarves and hats. All the English thought it was like a summers day - shorts, t shirts, summer dresses - we stuck out like a sore thumb :rotfl:“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
