Well done. 2lb is good. That's a bag of sugar. :T
I didn't think of it like that....put that way I have done well. I suppose we all do it really, look at the bigger picture instead of counting each little step. I am annoyed with myself really because before I went on my last holiday I dieted and went down to 9st 12lb. The all inclusive food and drinks took their toll and I came back having put on 6lb. I lost heart and now need to lose another 5lb within two weeks. Fingers crossed I get close because I am going to Tenerife for another all in jobbie......I drink diet coke with my voddie but it doesn't seem to help!!!

Just a flying visit to say hello, it's been a manic weekend and my diary is full this week. I've even had to do a none glitchy h/d for food as I've no idea what's glitchy and what's not:(
I'm also trying to find a decent holiday destination for us this year somewhere like Spain, 3 hr flight max. Not a long transfer from the airport to the hotel and not too busy!!
First time overseas with the monkeys and I want it to be as stress free as possible. So far I've drawn a blank:(
I did find a 4 star hotel but reviews of people being ill as recent as last week certainly crossed that one of my list.
Has anyone ever been to Salou, Malaga that they could recommend or indeed anywhere in Majorca that's not overly busy please?
I'm pretty nervous about the idea of taking them to be honest, too many horror stories floating around but we can't always be in bubble wrap can we? Else what's the point of it all????
Jobs to do now:( I will sneak back in a bit;)
We go to Palma Nova have done for the last 14 years:eek: you feel safe, and far enough away from Magaluf and the noise,Beach is sandy, water safe for kiddies 2 /3 small bays. English resort but over the years more Spaniards from the mainland come over and several Italians, we have always found it friendly. We stay right on the beach in privately owned apartments which we book through owners direct or other such sites then we book our flights separate, therefore you do your own thing and cook or go out, the added bonus is a washing machine, so for fortnights holiday we can get by with just hand luggage. Maccy D literally on doorstep for kiddies- or adults as its open 'til 3am:eek:

Have you looked at slimming world ? ..you don't necessarily have to join a group, there's plenty of forums including mse that offer advice / recipes.
Weight loss really is 80% food, 20% exercise, SW encourage being more active but don't expect members to join a gym or 'work out' etc.#CHEEKY :cool:0 -

A few pensioners I know would not have food some days because of the cost of living. If it was not for this thread:)0 -
The deed I was dreading is done. I can now breathe a huge sigh of relief
One of my girls laid a whopping huge, massive egg today- weighing in at 94g  it'll be a double yoker, if not a triple at that size! This is the 3rd monster egg from her in 4 days. I think the trouble with me Munqui is that when I say it quickly i.e. 7llb, it doesn't seem a lot to lose, but it is more of a struggle than I realised. What I did last time, when I went on a weight loss journey, I did the 5:2 diet, lost 4lb first week, and 2lb the next and then steadily lost between l-2lb per week. Altogether I lost one stone 3 pounds. I then went on a maintenance diet and did one 'less than 500 calories' per week up until my holiday. As enthusiastic as I was that first time around, I just can't face doing that again. Thanks for the info on the groups, I believe that is was tweets did I am off to have a look on here now....thanksBefore you assume, learn the facts,
