Mr TS dealt with a wasp nest in air brick himself.

You need to block off the inside of the vent if there is a grill inside like we had otherwise whatever you use you will be breathing in while indoors. Our inside vent was in the larder of all places so we didn't want anything contaminated, we just used some strong tape to seal it off.

You also need to make sure you do it at dusk when the wasps are not active otherwise you may get them angry and it is also advisable to use an overall to cover yourself and a mask. There are different preparations you can buy like cjj has said. We used a powder one and by the next day we saw no more flying in and out.

The only problem being under the eaves the nest may be in your loft space so may need a bit more consideration. HTHs
