I get in there this morning, Get settled at my desk then ask everyone if they had nice weekends, as you do.
"Yes"
They're all so piggin up themselves  not once has anyone asked me anything about myself. Its impossible to strike up conversations with any of them, and if I try and join a conversation, they change it.
But they all chat and laugh amongst themselves.
And then, this afternoon, the boss lady had the cheek to tell me I should smile more!! The sooner I get out of there the better. I'm so glad it was only ever a temporary thing
Periodically I wonder whether I should try and get myself a "proper" office job again. This is a great reminder of why I ditched it in the first place0 -
Well that's better than being a square.

I wish it were something exciting, just have 4 agency jobs now  Keeps me busy though'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0 -
It is indeed quiet recently. It has been for a few weeks, I think since the atmosphere changed during the elections, but there had been people disappearing before then and then obviously the princess melody circumstances and some of the serious issues that some people have been facing has perhaps given us all a little more perspective. There seem to be quite a few regulars missing but I missed if something else happened (beyond the political "discussions" ... or rather political broadcasts
) to prompt people to take time out?
I was going to say there have been fewer glitches, which periodically also reduces discussion, but I don't think that is necessarily true, with the run on 11+ and various other glitches? The Old/New confused many people which again may have put a few people off ... but now we only seem to be on New so that no longer explains it.
I possibly spend less time on here at the moment as I have been going through a particularly busy period in RL, and I have "a few" of the glitch staples so have not been shooting out to buy shampoo etc, but I am sure that will settle down again soon and I can get my glitch mojo back.
Please join in if you are lurking- with more people involved on the thread we are likely to spot more glitches than with fewer (though that said, there are a few on here who seem to spot more than most as they seem to have an in-built glitch detector ).

Was it not QOC who thought there may be a real job in the offing?
My new lot are friendly but I cant gauge when to chat as I work in my own wee office0 -

Evening
DS1 recce went very well today. He's poring over his video now and will be happy by the time the trip comes round. I'll also not be afraid to not have my phone with me (have had to drive miles to retrieve him from trips in the past!)
Hampy I have to agree about the Garnier stuff. I bought some in a previous glitch. DD was moaning about it after using it once so I tried it myself and had to agree with her. The conditioner is not so bad but the shampoo is very thin and not very lathery. Generally just didn't like it. I think I only bought 3 of each so not too bad. They will find their way to some fair or other school collection I expect.
I've been tidying up today. My loo roll stash is close to woeful  my laundry stash is very poor as well :eek:I need to spend some of this time off work getting things back up to scratch! I have been very grateful for my stashes over the last few weeks as shopping hasn't been a priority.0 -

Not all offices are like that. My last few have been great, which is why this one is such a let downWas it not QOC who thought there may be a real job in the offing?

There is but I have to wait for the application to go online and they haven't done it yet. As soon as it does, my phone will go into meltdown with people letting me know, then I'll sit there on my phone in my break if I have to :rotfl:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards.
