I've checked my emails on a weekend for the first time this series and have had one of my worries disappear. So I'm glad I did it. Still a couple more to conquer before shoot time but we'll get there! I'm off to Texas for a week, then New York. We have half rest days here and there so will get a little bit of downtime.

Obviously I have done the Elite thing and signed up for frequent flyer miles on both of the airlines I'll be on. Any other tips on maximising a paid for trip? ;)

Also register for the hotel loyalty schemes. They often have links back to the frequent flyer schemes and so give you double points.

Consider lounge access if you are flying in Business or First, you can also often get access with the right credit card or bank account. Saves paying high prices to eat at the airport.

    Good morning.

Dull and dreary here this morning. Got a CC to collect at 11am with a few of the garnier shampoos. I have been hanging on to a few online vouchers as none of the glitches since the bold have been for things I needed. However, they were due to expire soon and rather than risk them being taken away I have ordered some shampoo ;)

My sister, Andrea, is taking part in Cancer Research Race for Life on 12 July in memory of our mother who died from this dreadful disease at the age of 57. If anyone would like to donate please her page is:

Thanks silver car :) I'm with one hotel loyalty club but will see what others I can sign up for. Oh to have enough money in our budget to fly business or first! I wish. Maybe someone will take pity on me and give me a cheeky upgrade.
