Does this HG stuff work on where the silicone on the inside of double glazed frames has not been cleaned and is black in living rooms etc , as well as bathrooms?
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

It just bleaches the mould white - it doesn't get rid of it.

This. My washing machine door is only closed when it is operating. I've never seen a trace of mould in 17 years.

Ditto. no mould for 4 years as we almost always leave the machine door open, sometimes comes in way of moving about but much eaiser to close it temporarily than leaving door closed and having to deal with horrible mould smell...

Is your machine integrated? Can you leave an integrated machine door open?

That's amazing. Do you use powder or liquid out of curiosity. i tend to use the latter on a 30 degree wash. Probably where I am going wrong.

No it's a standalone Bosch machine that is in the corner of a utility room so leaving the door ajar isn't the problem it might be in a kitchen.

I use Bold or Persil tablets. Just about everything is washed at 40C.

If you have a bad smell in the washing machine as well as mould then that's usually caused by bacteria. It can happen if you only wash on lower temperatures (30/40 degrees) because it's not hot enough to kill all the bacteria. You can either use an occasional hotter wash or run detergent around the seal & drum now and then.
  • For black mould on tile grout use HG Mould Spray. I was amazed at the results I got. No more scrubbing with bleech and a toothbrush!

Simply spray, wait and rinse of with the shower. Easy Peasy and very, very effective.

There is also something in the formula that stops mould growing back for a long time.

Google a few reviews and you'll see why I like it so much.

I was in the same position a few months back when doing my bathroom tile grout. In the shower, towards the bottom it had gone orange and a little black.

I tried all sorts from natural to chemical and the most effective thing was very thick bleach and squirt it up high and let it run itself slowly down the grout. For the horizontal grout, I made a paste with thick bleach and baking soda in a plastic cup and applied it with a toothbrush. Left it all a while and scrubbed it off. Worked pretty well.

It's very stinky and eye watery though with thick bleach and careful not to get any on clothes or wear rubbish clothes like you do for painting.
