    Hello all

I'm having quite a productive day today - went into town and returned some library books, rushed back and got stuck into the housewifey things I am usually so reluctant to do. (Ha ha, and I call myself an old styler!!) My friend and her daughter called by to see Mitzy (who was called Petal, and who was called Button before that) as they are the ones who gave her to me in the first place. My friend isn't officially Old Style (she's never heard of Stardrops...) but she is one houseproud woman! Her place is always so clean and tidy - she's been like that all her life, even as a teenager her bedroom was always immaculate. She's been here before and survived, I don't think the shock of my front room was too horrific for her today.

There has been torrential rain for a couple of hours here. The sky is very grey, in fact it got so dark the street lights came on. The kitties are very settled today, maybe it's because they don't want to go out in the rain that they are making an effort to be nice to each other today, or maybe it's because I got them a Feliway diffuser and they are as high as kites.

Happy birthday for yesterday to Csarina. Congratulations to those of you celebrating anniversaries today.

Poppyjay, glad to hear you are feeling better. Panic attacks are awful things - mine disappeared within weeks of taking my special tablets. Hurrah for modern medicine, we are lucky that so much can be done for so many things.

Tomorrow I have to go shopping for fly swats. Yes, that's right...my mother can't find them anywhere and as there are lots of shops near me I should be able to pick some up easily tomorrow. I'll really treat her and get her one for every window...

Isn't life in SnowyOwl Land exciting....:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • well, we went to the cinema to see a film. I got stomped on by another passenger on........ you guessed it............. my broken toe. So now its throbbing etc again. Soaked it in icewater when we got home. Film was good tho. Had dimsum afterwards, and ran into friends we plan on seeing next weekend on the way to the restaurant. Had an icecream cone for dessert.

Also made the cheesecake when we got home; I'll let you lot know if it works as I made it up as I went along. Have a good evening, everyone!

    Evening All

Popped back on for a catch up.

Had nice day. Did some housework this morning and some of the ironing, washing basket is empty at the moment. Collection people didnt come till late but still managed to pop out on the boat.

Very tired at the moment - must be all the fresh air - so early night in order. Plan to do some more ironing in the morning while its cool

    Take care
  • Evening all...............picked a load of blackberries at the lottie, had to water, but it was so hot it dried almost as soon as it touched the soil....should rain tomorrow, I hope so, we could do with a nice steady downpour right now.

It was so very hot this afternoon.......we went to the library and Mr T's for some sugar to make jam. Took my friend from the apartments with us, naughty girl bought us a large box of Thorntons continental chocolates.........oooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh they are so delicious, we have had 4 each..............smoked salmon and salad for supper tonight...........with a mixed leaf salad from the lottie, lettuce, rocket, basil, cucumber, courgette and celery, a slice of hm wholemeal bread..........yum yum............

I was so tired when we got back from the shops I had a zizz stripped the sheets this morning so had to make up the bed, I had put a new lavender bag in with the bedding they smell wonderful......memories of my childhood and fresh linen sheets smelling of lavender................OH listening to the proms............its starting to get dark...........and so much cooler...........

I have a pile of ironing to tackle tomorrow, I just realised its 2 weeks since I did any.........washed OH's winter jumpers yesterday, he has one cashmere one which has to go to the dry cleaners...........its a pity it won't fit me, its so soft, I love it...........

Off to get a drink.............and maybe another choccy????????????????
September grocery budget........trying for £80, not sure if I will make it though!!!!! I certainly did not last month, lost track of the final bill. Will do better this month honest.

    Tesco £57.13
    Petrol £10.00

Glad the kitties have been *playing nicely*, and so they should, having been brought up *proper*:D ;) :rotfl: Now Snowy, shall I bother learning Mitzy or will you be changing it again?:p I do like it, in fact all three names are really nice! Do you think you should get another two kitties so you can use them all?:rotfl:

Had a funny old day. Didn't get done half the things i wanted to, but did do a lot of other things that also needed doing. Does that make sense? Probably not:o I've now got two full laundry baskets of ironing, oh joy!! They can jolly well wait for it to be a bit cooler. Might try and do some before Church tomorrow.

DH has been scanning the internet looking for a new car (by which I mean new to us, couldn't afford a brand new one:o ) Do I care if it's an SE, SVE or whatever combination of letters he says? As long as it gets me from A to B and preferably back again, I'm not fussed:rotfl:

Tried to buy some new tops for my holiday next month. Couldn't find anything I liked that looked OK on me, so came home empty-handedicon9.gif I'm definitely going back on the diet and WILL lose the flab again. Just a shame I can't do it before I fly to Canada. I'm so cross with myself, I've piled on the weight since I gave up smoking, and it is almost 18 months ago now, so not really an excuse anymore:o

    Anyway, night all!

    CMx

Nearly forgot! When do we get to see the latest addition Snowy? And while we're at it I don't know if I've seen a photo of Dylan, and a refresh of Teddy would be useful!
