happy anniversary to Mr & Mrs Penguin:T
have a good day everyone! see ya0 -
Good morning everyone - haven't posted for a while, after my busy spending week last week everything just went horribly wrong this week  As some of you may know I booked my flights to Hawaii, had saved the money up and felt really virtous (sp?) booking it on my debit card - WRONG  They took the flight money, and then anther £1600 pending - so from Sunday to Thursday we had aboslutely NO money    To top it off our fridge freezer was due to be delivered Wednesday (very short notice and we had to bin loads of food so we could put the old FF outside to defrost ready to be collected when the new one arrived) - the FF was finally delivered yesterday so we had no food and no money, and then (as things always come in threes) I managed to cut my hand quite badly on a knife  Still everything's rosey now, I have my money back, I have a fully functional (fab) fridge freezer and my hand is healing nicely
DH has gone fishing today, and as he has been off work for the last 2 weeks looking after DD my house is an absolute WRECK  I've got Mon, Tues and Weds off work so I need to get going before Kim and Aggie come and close me downDD is going to Ireland with the IL's on Thursday for 5 days  The most time I have ever spent away from her is 1 night - I'm a little nervous but I'm sure she'll have a fabulous time with all the Irish rellies
Goodness I've rambled, better get bathed and dressed and ready to wage war on the housework.
Have a great day everyone
Special ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) for JackieO - I did light a candle for you and hope everything is going well

Morning Guys!
Still not feeling well. I have a bad infection in my left lung and when I breathe it feels or bubbly. Not had this before, but it hurts like hell!! Back to hospital on Monday to see consultants and will be reassessed then
OH & DD have been very good and have managed to keep on top of everything. I have been a nightmare to live with these past few days as I'm quite fussy about things...but, at least they are trying:D All washing has been done and dried outside, and generally house is clean and tidy.
The cleaner came on Thursday with a letter stating that she is becoming VAT registered, so her fees are going up by £5pw:eek:    ....I only get a certain amount of money given for domestic care, so may have to top it up myself. I do feel its abit extortionate, but she is so good and obviously well liked becoming VAT registered! I could get a private cleaner for a fraction of the price, but I just dont have the energy to start posting ads and interviewing.
Off to my sisters today. Its about an hour travelling, but really need to go. Loads of problems with her OH and she could do with our support today as its her anniversary and feeling down. I wont do anything-I promise and will rest still!!
Won 2 competitions this week:D I won a picnic rug;) then yesterday in the post I had a letter from a womens magazine congratulating me for my winnings of a Vauxhall Vectra for long weekend. This even includes some petrol and all insurances, but must be used before 15th December 2007. We are off to Alton Towers hopefully in November, so am looking to use this then. The prize is worth £185+:j :j :j :j
Anyway, OH has just told me he will help me in the shower, so better go.
Hugs to all.

Morning all
DLB - Do you find the pool heater expensive to run? We did think about one for our pool but then decided against it when we'd looked into the running costs (maybe we worked it out wrong) DD's will get in no matter how cold it is - good for the circulation
Happy Anniversary to PP and DH - have a great day.
Shez - enjoy your fish and chips - suns shining and a lovely blue sky so you should have a great day.
I'm the only one up this morning - DD's are off to my parents later so need to get them up and showered in a bit, DH and I are off to Mr T's (might leave that until tomorrow) and hoping to go to the cinema later but we'll see - if it's as warm as it looks out there then we may just go sit on a beach somewhere with a book.
The lawns need cutting but I'll save that delight until Monday - DH hates cutting the grass or doing anything garden related.
So basically it seems that I might do stuff today - or just put it all off until another day( I think I know which way it's going here)
Chicken in a peppercorn sauce with baby roasted new potatoes, cauli cheese and fresh fruit salad for tea tonight.......might even go the whole hog and do a starter too.

Pooky, i have borrowed the pool heater from crazychick nextdoor, as she has had no luck in getting it to warm her pool up, so we are seeing if it works any better on our as we have a external filter and crazychicks is internal.
As for running costs my dh said it will be like running a kettle all day long!!! So will see what happens today, but as you said my kids dont care how cold it is they would get in anyway!!!Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -
Morning All
Happy Anniversary Pen-Pen - hope you have a brilliant day.
SOMO1 - as they say it comes in 3's
Pooky - we found our electric heater too expensive to run but we do have one of the 15'' pools. Our builder is talking about making us a solar heater next year or running it off of the central heating boiler which he does for his pool.
Was up early today and when I first was up was so misty so me thinks it will be an absolute scorcher today. Hopefully man and van will come early to take our collection so we can get out on the boat on the lunchtime tide - that will keep us cool - just need to remember loads of sun cream.
WM already on just about to put chicken in the oven to have later - no idea with what and clean up. Need to hoover but that will wait till the others are up. Loads of ironing but if dont start that this morning will definately do it tomorrow morning. I love being up and industrious whilst everyone else still in bed.
Have a lovely day.0 -
