    Morning All,

Happy anniversary Mr & Mrs Pen-Pin. (((Hugs))) to those that need them!

Spent 7 hrs yesterday sorting through carboot stuff!!!! Haven't even got it into boxes, just put it in sensible piles, and haven't sorted through the clothing yet! Did put some books outside the door for 50p each. Did this last year and sold one or two - yesterday seemed to be reading day. I sold 11 ! Mind you they were all good quality ones, so people did get bargains. :)

Got up early to put books outside the door to catch early morning shoppers. Needn't have bothered - not a whiff of interest today so far :(

OH still in bed. Good thing we weren't going to do the carboot this morning!

Locked myself out of the front door yesterday when I went to collect books in so got teenager 2 doors down to let me through his house. Discovered his fish pond was sooo low with water due to a slow leak, and told him. He said he'd put hose in, but of course, he didn't and went out with a bottle of Jack Daniels and a small bottle of coke. So I put my hose in there, trying to save a fish I thought was stuck in the weeds. Too late - fish was actually dead. Turns out another neighbour told him the pond was getting low 2 days ago. Flippin' teenagers (I think Dad is off gallavanting with another new girlfriend).

Must go find little monster as he's being far too quite. Driving me nuts today with his suckling fingers, or climbing onto everything he shouldn't. He's a cute kitten but.....

    Have a good one every1

    Hello everyone,

Long time no see!:o I've been so busy at work because my boss left - I became the boss and so we've been a person short in the office till we can appoint.

I have been keeping up with the threads tho' and was inspired by Pen pen to confess it's also my wedding anniversary (28 years) For some reason I feel a bit freaked out by it:rolleyes: It just seems like such a long time.

Anyhow, OS wise I've fallen off the wagon - we've decided to hire a cleaner because we found that all our weekends were taken up cleaning and washing because I'm too tired to do it in the evenongs and OH doesn't get home before 8 most nights. I must say she's brilliant:T, she cleans everything really thoroughly and even leaves the toilet roll folded into a point :rotfl:. We've resolved that we are going to go out and enjoy ourselves at weekends now so shout if you see my light on.

Just an update on DS who did well in his degree and is now job hunting and has turned 21 a few weeks ago:eek: . DD is doing well in her job and is at present in Croatia.

Not read todays thread but hugs and best wishes especially to Pen pin, Jackie O, Pink winged and congrats to Pen pen.

    Morning All

Happy Birthday to Mr & Mrs Penguin.

DH let me have a lie in this morning as I was up half the night searching for our cat who I was convinced had been hit by a car but turned up this morning right as rain. Just dosed off and DD woke with a nightmare and it took me about 2 hrs to get her back off.

Plan for today is cleaning, DH has gone to help my dad with some heavy gardening. I'm quiet releived to just be able to get on with things. We need to go to the market for veg, bacon and cheese but I'll leave that till near closing time to nab some bargins.

Better go the washer needs to go on and DD bed needs changing.
    Have a good day everyone

    Morning all!

Not much going on here today.

Am working this afternoon and I'm not sure what dinner'll consist of-hopefully I'll have enough energy to cook a curry, but like Sharon59, the heat really gets to my Fibro! It's funny how some people swear by the heat, but all it does for me is make me more clicky (esp my back) and fatigued! I need to go swimming, but I want to go at a quiet time, which isn't really possible during the summer holidays!

Enough wingeing anyway! I need to get ready, have a cuppa and something to eat (other than the Oreos I ate to stop my early morning tummy rumbles!), stick the BM on, unload and load the DW and then chill out before I set off for work! I'm so silly-I don't even know where I'm working today! Ah well, I have diesel in the tank, my trusty Sat Nav and they give me all the info I need, so yeah!

Tomorrow we'll be doing a bit sort out, and I might walk into town whilst OH is still asleep to try and find some nice wrapping paper to put my jewellery on for my Etsy shop. We'll have a couple (or more) of trips to the tip and get lots of sorting done... I hope anyway!! Monday I'm working at a kids club in the morning, then I might pop to Primark to see if they have their fab cheap boots (they have some ace ones, Ugg-style ones for £6 and flat leather look ones for £9 or £10) before word gets round and Brighton end up with none! Prob will have a coffee with a friend too, as she's visiting from the West Country.

Have a lovely Saturday everyone! Thanks for the lovely wishes for my Mum from some people-she's hitting it like JackieO and has been out for lunch and dinner a good few times this week, enjoying a few drinks and some yummy food! She took my dog out in her sports car (MSE style-long story but will share via pm if anyone wants to know!) yesterday and is making the most of being able to drive, as in just over 2 weeks she'll be needing a chauffer-wish I didn't live so far away as I'd gladly do it in her car!

Happy anniversary to Mr and Mrs PenPen and also to Snoozer and your OH!

Hugs to those who need/want them!

    xx

    Morning :hello:

Happy anniversary to the Penguins, hope they sort the infection out soon Penny-Pincher!!, and best wishes to your mum natzini.

donny-gal - I get on just fine with a dress that has a belt two inches above the waist... that's the narrowest part of my body so may as well make the most of it :D

Just a quick one... i'm behind schedule today thanks to oversleeping and then getting deep in coversation on MSN with my mum. I'm still in my pyjamas, and I'm supposed to be somewhere by 2:30 having been shopping in the meantime!

Going to a birthday party this afternoon, it's a joint party for 2 different friends. Then this evening I am meeting a different friend and we are going out for HER birthday. Fortunately all budgeted for...

Must be off, catch you later

    Morning all!

Had a lovely time at Borough Market yesterday. We drove up, for a change, which cost less money than getting the train (even with the congestion charge and parking), and was slightly less time travelling. If we drive again we will try and avoid Picadilly Circus, as that took ages.

Bought a turbot, which we've put in the freezer, some sausages which we Toad-in-the-Holed last night, and some enormous T bone steaks which are for tonight. DH bought some Bockwurst from the German Deli, and we've bought a few cheeses from Neal's Yard Dairy. Stocked up on coffee beans and fudge, resisted the Choc Brownie from the bread stall...and then came home.

This morning DH has been cutting stones for the new terraced area. We should have finished dry laying them all today, it's looking really good. I hope the good weather klasts long enough for us to get it finished and to actually use it!

Kitchen cleaned and swept, washing on airers indoors (DH making too much dust outside to hang on line), DW emptied and on for the second time. Made Pain de Campagne, my favourite sourdough bread. Had some toasted for breakfast, along with some of yesterdays purchase of coffee.

I've strained the blackurrany vodka, and it now has to sit for a week before being bottled.

Dinner tonight will be steak and mashed potatoes. I'm going to make lots of mashed potato, and freeze it into portion sizes. Have masses of tomatoes, so will probably make more passata tonight. We also have loads of cherry tomatoes, so I'll probably have a cherry tomato salad for lunch, and might make a special batch of cherry tomato passata for the freezer.

Plans today are all about the "terrace".

Happy anniversary to PenPen, Hugs to JackieO, and to anyone else who would like one.

    Have a fab weekend

    Hazel

Hazel, it sounds like you've got stuck into it already. :D

I had a lovely day yesterday, Dad and stepmum took Haribo, myself and our broods out for delicious lunch then we all went to the Folk museum. It's a great place which has a town and rural area, where they have rebuilt brick by brick buildings from all over N Ireland. It was amazing to look around the houses and see how people lived only a hundred years ago. We really don't appreciate how lucky we are. This weekend is the 'linen weekend' where they have all sorts of demonstrations on spinning, weaving and embroidery so we might go back again tomorrow.

Today has been quiet. Dd is working in her summer job, ds2 is out with friends and ds1 is still at scout camp in Scotland. He's coming home tonight. :j I've really missed him and can't wait to see him! As we've had a child free Saturday, Mr Pink and I spent some ermm 'quality time' together this morning and now he's making us a late lunch. :D

Not sure what's planned for the rest of the day, but I hope you all have a good one.

    Pink
