If you've been looking for 3 years, how come that's the best you've found? Looking at the area there are loads and loads of cheaper houses that offer more/look better than that one.
What are you looking for? What's wrong with others that are a bit cheaper? or the same price? Seems a bizarre choice on the basis you apparently have heaps of choice.0 -
There seems to be better buys in the postcode.0

Looks ok indoors, I suppose ...... I know this will sound odd, but despite the obvious brick facing, I was wondering about the construction of the building; is it the standard cavity brick walling or something else? Oh well, the survey will show that - won't it?
Furthermore, like the OP, I would be concerned about easy access/ escape in case of fire, particularly if it occurs at the front of the house, cutting off the front door. OK, you can get out of back windows - but you're up another level from the ground - quite a drop. This is in a terrace, too (possible ease of spread of fire from house to house).
If there is no access to the house from the garage, by the way, am I to presume you have to go all the way round to the one and only door to get in, having parked your car (carrying all your shopping)? If there's a fire, you won't be able to get your goods/ car out of the garage (sorry, I'm getting fixated with fires).
Actually, getting all your furniture in is going to be an interesting experience, too!
Hm....not one for me, evidently.

No, just one entrance so I was thinking !!!!!! if there was a fire and one could not use the front door? Leap out of the bedroom?
The front door is next to the bottom of the stairs. If the fire stops you from getting downstairs then it doesn't make a difference how many exits you have downstairs, does it?0 -
The neighbours are using the garden as a traditional back garden ,with washing line and trampoline .
Who owns the TWO garages under the house .
Oh as as for a fire ,get a smoke alarm"Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0 -
There is no mention of a garage in the particulars - I wonder if the house is therefore leasehold and someone else owns the garage ? I'm not keen on front gardens used as back gardens - I think it would make the street look a bit of a mess ? I'd pass myself and keep looking.Stuck on the carousel in Disneyland's Fantasyland

Nowhere in the particulars does it have the magic word Freehold.
OP Your first question to the estate agent on Monday morning is, is the property freehold or leasehold? If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0 -
If you do decide to offer on this one, please avoid the £1,000 buyer's incentive. WH Brown are part of the Sequence group, and are well-known for this. They will expect you to use their surveyor, mortgage etc at over-inflated prices.0
