I'm sure there would be ways around that. She could "exaggerate" and say she feels threatened etc. If my ex had been convicted of battering his child, there is no way I would let him anywhere near the kids, and I'd do and say anything I could to make sure that didn't happen!

Manipulating the system could spell trouble for her though. (and when i say manipulating the system, i do mean providing a false statement to the police is pretty high on the list of things not to do)

He hasn't approached the OP, but he has approached the children.

Stop sticking up for him, just because you're a man. The guy's been done for assault and battery of a minor for heaven's sake!

OP, speak to social services and get a restraining order on him so he can't come to your area and "accidentally" bump into you/the kids.

I would definitely contact social services and ask for their help in dealing with this. It probably won't be easy and may well mean you have to follow through with a restraining order but it sounds like this is necessary for you to be sure that he won't be able to harm any of your children.
  • I have contacted social care and I waiting for a call back from the social worker from last year, she is on holiday until monday so I guess it will be mon or tues.
