Not being a mind reader I never concluded you had been given the INR.
Perhaps if you wanted specific help you should have been more specific.
I don't really know what floats your boat and how you spend your time on a wet afternoon, but believe me, there are plenty of threads on here where people do sit and go through tracking, find one like yours and worry unduly.
As per soolins post, you could see if there is anything further on https://www.roylamail.com/trackdetails0 -
I've been onto Royal Mail customer services and they claim that the tracking on a signed for item will show delivery attempted when the item is taken back to the delivery office or when any attempt to deliver is made. That's 50p wasted on an 0835 number. What say ye???Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Since many of my signed for don't even show delivery- I would not agree that failed delivered 'will' show online, I would suggest rather that they 'might' show online.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I have countless experience of Signed For items being returned to the DO (or never leaving the DO in the first place!) but the tracking not being updated on their system. That's why I suggested you phone the local DO and ask if they have it. Its the first thing I do for both standard and Signed For items when a customer claims not received.
You can call 0845 605 0767 to get the address of a DO. Then punch that in to Google and 99 times out of 100 you can find the DO's direct number.0 -
The DO's number in the BT phone book and when googling has been set to the call centre number - I guess to clamp down on people calling DO's. They don't want people phoning up asking where stuff is which is exactly what I want to do. This is for Royal Mail: :T Idiots.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Google again, I've never not been able to find a number. Try the nearest DO where there is a number and ring and ask them for the number!
You are set to lose, you need to put in the leg work.0 -

Pay people £20K a year to wait on a phone call,or use the call centre for the purpose they are there for?0 -

The call centre can't tell you if an item is waiting at a particular DO and they certainly won't put you through. In my experience, every single DO I have ever managed to get a direct number for have been happy to have a look for me. And in many cases, the item has been sat there.
Yup,but the problem is staffing phones is a cost. Theres a reason they pulled the local numbers.
RM have systems in place to forward enquires to DOs via customer service.0
