They suggested I reply to the last VeRO email and confirm that I (and my husband) have sent them the proof of id - ie that we are not the same person.

At best, I guess my husbands account might get re-instated (tbh, I don't think they will do that - and he has been a member for 5+ years with 99.5% positive feedback), but does not actually help me too much.

    Just soooo frustrating......

Ebay just send you around in circles, it's hard to believe that such a large company could treat it's customers so badly.

Ebid seems to be the next big thing, no doubt thanks to apparantly 15000 displaced sellers per month needing somewhere else to go....

They don't care about their customers at all though, they are a virtual monopoly and there are enough people who use it and other keep joining for them too not care if some people leave.

I wonder if the OFT or competition Commission could do anything about them, especially if they force people to have to use Paypal exclusively for some items.

The paypal thing may well be rolled out to cover the entire site.

For some reason ebay only seem to care about buyers rather than sellers these days.

Although I can't help thinking the novelty has worn off and it's on a bit of a downward spiral now...

Yeah, I understand ebay are kind of like the royal mail and their lost post forms in that regard....

Persist, you will hopefully get some sense out of them eventually.

Assuming we are talking about mothercare then I can't see their name on the Vero Programme Members list.

I don't know of a full list of VERO members - are you thinking of the list of VERO members that have Me pages?

  • Toni, I sympathise with your Ebay troubles. I've actually had something similar happen to me. Now 3 months on, I've had it with arguing with the robots at Ebay and even though I can quite easily prove my case, Ebay are having none of it.

I'm in the fortunate position of having multiple different unconnected buying and selling accounts on Ebay, so risked relisting the item. To my surprise it stayed up for 6 days out of a 7 day listing, but shortly after the listing ended I checked to see the final price and Ebay had removed it ! So that was 2 accounts suspended and 1 Paypal account.

The annoying thing is that there are 2 other sellers selling the EXACT same item and theirs are allowed to stay! I've spent the past 3 months reporting their listings for the same reasons they're giving me for removing mine and they don't take any notice!!!!

They are the WORST company I've ever dealt with in my entire life.

I've now taken my business elsewhere and set up my own website and a shared merchant account with a good friend. I've got the vast majority of email addresses of my old customers so they've been directed to the new location and business is picking up nicely, especially with careful placement of "redirection" listings on Ebay ;) .

Ultimately, Ebay and Paypal are the losers because - due to the values of the items I was selling - they're losing out on circa £600 per month in fees. :rotfl:

Bottom line Toni, is quit your arguing about it with Ebay and take your business elsewhere. You'll never get their decision reversed.

Can I please remind ALL users that posts suggesting breaking ebay rules/terms or conditions will be removed.

It is unfair on newer users to advocate ways of getting banned for good.
