The one at Honister? That involves climbing a cliff face? You'd have to pay me to do it. And probably sedate me first.

No, it's at Grisdale Forest. Near the Go Ape course but not part of it. I didn't think the one at Honister had got planning permission? Will have to check that out! I was going to do the Via Feratta course with my uncle and some other folk, but it was a Sunday and I couldn't get time off work. :(

I love zip wires, but I'm so unfit now that even with steps it would take forever to reach the top.

I know what you mean! This one says there's a steepish 20 minute hike first!

I tried to do the Honister one, got half way down the first ladder (took me half an hour!) then decided it was not worth the sheer terror! It was not what I expected at all.

I've never tried it, but I'm not that good with heights....yeah, I know, sounds stupid that I'd want to do it! But, I'm not so bad looking down, it's looking up and seeing the height above me that gives me the wobbles!

Are you down South then Katy? Just that you're saying it's hot, and I know down South is really warm today according to the weather (in the 20's), but up North, we're early teens. I'd gladly swap the weather, and I'm sure you would too! It's hard work being on your feet all day anyhow, never mind being pregnant. Surely your employers should provide you with a seat? Hope today goes ok, big hugs x

    Morning my lovelies,

Was late getting out for my walk. I slept for about 7 and half hours but it could not have been good sleep as duvet and pillows were in disarray. And Even though I was awake from 6.30 ish I did not get out the door for my walk until nearly quarter to 8!!!!!

And now I back and been sat for a short while I feel shattered and ache all over.

I did start my latest x-stitch project. Only did about an hour. but better than nowt. Had a mini panic that my friends dog might have eaten my snips I use to cut threads. As I could not find them last night. But found them under the sofa this morning LOL!!!

Mind you the dog will eat and chew anything. My friend said the other day while in the car it coughed up part of the plastic lid off a milk bottle!!!!!

Anyway need to re-charge and decided what to do today.

Hope everyone had a good nights rest.

    Yours

    Calley

Gentle hugs Katy, I'd had enough of work by about 30 weeks and stopped at 36 (I think!) and would have liked to finish earlier as I was so uncomfortable and tired... and I have a sit-down office job! I do remember being very hormonal and weepy, every time someone told me something that I didn't want to hear I had to hide in the loo and have a little cry! :o

I haven't done a 'proper' zipwire, but I did do 'Go Ape' a few years ago (which includes a couple of zipwires) in the Lakes which was scary enough! Even though I knew I was perfectly safe going round and if I fell I'd be caught, I still found it terrifying and kept getting stuck! :o

I'm so worried about Tea, she's not logged in for over a week. Does anyone know her IRL to check she's OK?

    Any news from tea Pyxis?

Sorry for the delay in replying..........my internet connection went down at 6.00 a.m. And I've only just got it back, involving a new router to set up!
Now I know I'm addicted.....I kept reaching for my iPad, forgetting that there was no internet! Aaaargh!

Anyway, no news from Tea. Must admit, I am concerned too. :(
I did PM her, so she would have got it as an email.

I am sure she is fine. Probably just a bit over whelmed with her new job. And tired from taking it all in.

I hope so. I just hope there was no problem with her ex moving out.
Maybe her internet was in his name and she's having to set up a new ISP?

Hopefully we'll hear from her soon. You could be right about her having to swap over ISP or something. :)

It's amazing how attached you get to your ipad (and iPhone!) isn't it?! I'm the same! Glad you got your router set up ok!
