Sorry I have been around so little - still catching up from holidays and trying to do 3 weeks' worth of work in the 4 days I am working this week before I go back to the same place to play more music! :D

Sounds exciting! What music have you been playing lately?

I used to think my issues with my floors was OCD, but from what you have said WaS I don't think it is. It's a term that is used too generally these days and I think it has maybe lost its identity somewhere along the way. Like with that OCD Cleaners program that used to be on. It was good for raising awareness of the condition but maybe was a little too light-hearted and didn't show how debilitating the condition can be.

Reading that back I'm not entirely sure I made sense there!

Turns out my gnome was something to do with next door, and doing their garden. He didn't want to leave the bush lopsided so did my side too which was nice of him.

Having to try and find another medication that works. This one works, but the dehydration and kidney pain are really getting annoying. Trouble is, I'm so limited to what I can take due to drug interactions.

    Meh. :(

Have you tried CBT or some other therapies which could help you?

It's for head pain. One GP does think I'm imagining it all.

    Hello Dandelionclock!

Aw, he was a friendly gnome Katy! It does grate on me a little that the term OCD is used somewhat flippantly these days. As I said we are all somewhere on the spectrum so to an extent we all have OCD but at the same time, the medical terminology refers to something far more debilitating than a lot of people mean when they use the term. It's swings and roundabouts, it has been accepted as more commonplace in society but at the same time it is used a little too often now and can make people think that they are unwell when they actually aren't. We are so quick to label these days.

I remember ripping myself to pieces one day with my psychotherapist telling I had so many odd behaviours that were clearly some kind of condition or the other. She said to me or maybe you are a little eccentric and quirky? I left the session with such a huge smile on my face. It was as if a weight had been lifted, yes, I do have mental illness but sometimes I am just quirky and that's fine! It is wonderful that we are more aware of mental health problems but there is a line between accepting that they exist and thinking you have everything Doctor Google says that you have. Sometimes it's nice just to feel quirky.

That's a pain, Indie, quite literally. Can you have a chat with your doctor?

Don't work too hard, JM! Lovely to see you!

WaV - brilliant explanation of OCD - thank you.
JB - what do you play - instrument and music genre?

Katy has a neighbour gnome and an escapee - and by the way, my first reading of the phrase " someone is trimming my bush" made me snigger like a teenager.......me and OH are absolutely terrible for sniggering at semi naughty words - lord help us if we are watching a programme about hard metals as we were the other night, after the voice said hard about 10 times (totally innocently referring to the metals) me and hubby were in fits!

thanks all for nice comments about shed - it is raining now and it still looks decidedly cheerful, despite the gloomy weather so rather pleased. I did another two coats of paint on it today and started moving my tools into it - yea!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Hello. :). I'm having an interesting time. I have been talking to a couple of IMO wise men from different positions in life about a disagreement I had with a friend and its really been interesting because I was getting very frustrated with myself and their vantages both are opening my eyes to be more sympathetic to ME and the one who I thought would play strongest devils advocate for me to bounce off actually surprised me by not doing so at all. He also suggested I speak to a third party who I do not know to get a third stance on the situation, but he laughed saying, ask enough people and you will find someone who agrees you are wrong ;).

Meanwhile kiwi has just been super adorable this week, today I went out for fifty minutes without him ....( I went to Boots) and when I got back it was as if he was going to wriggle out of his own skin. He mountaineer end up an armchair, ( using my body as leverage, his back pushing against it) because this shows more commitment than just jumping, don't you know, ;) , and kissed my neck all over. Then he came upstairs with dog dog( who much more quietly just sticks to me) And they both watched me use a disclosing tablet.

wAs, I found a new to me set of meditations on you tube. I know you have to be so careful with meditations with imagination and music, but these are short, only fifteen minutes most of them. I wondered if maybe wasp good listen to one and see what he thought? I am finding the one for fly mindfullness and joy very peaceful and relaxing. I use it with my eyes closed, which is a shame because the screens I think are really pretty.

The soft breathing exercises are easy and very calming for me.
