we are lucky he does tell me lots of them so I understand why hes reacting in a certain way to stuff. (it took him a while to get here though)
Hes a lot brighter today as well due to the lack of contact from the HA.

Aw, that's great to hear! It is also a credit to how much he cares about you and trusts you that he can discuss how he feels with you. Most people with OCD feel a lot of shame and embarrassment to admit to what they are feeling and doing because they are aware that they are acting irrationally. It took me ages to tell WaSp and if we talk about it now I blush and mumble a lot. He loves you a lot Melly, to share it with you.

I see a Duke thank you! Hello Duke! I hope you and your relative are doing ok! We miss you!

My Beefalo cuddly that my american friend posted to me is here! He is a gorgeous cow/buffalo cross and he is so soft and fluffy with long silky fur! He shall be called Fluffy. On that note I am off to the doctor's for blood tests (I may take Fluffy).

Back again! My doctor is so good because he always books me in for a blood test within hours of talking to me because he knows that otherwise I will become very anxious. The time before this he dragged a nurse off of her coffee break to do it, she was very gracious about it. I get the results in 3 days.

There appears to be a man in my garden trimming a bush!
  • Hahahahaha! That made me laugh, Katy! Maybe he's a garden gnome. You should ask him. Seriously though, is he meant to be there?

I have no idea, noone mentioned anything to me!
Not sure if I dare go and ask a garden gnome man armed with shears what he is up to. Although Little Sod has seen him out there and hasn't bothered, so maybe he is supposed to be there. People up to no good tend to avoid the big woof, and he is a pretty good judge of character.

Totally, Melly. Chronic OCD can take over your entire life. You become so focused on the rituals and compulsions because it is the only way to control the terrible anxiety, that general life comes to a standstill. Then you get stuck in a loop because the more you carry out OCD rituals the more you will find you have.

The brain gets into a pattern of - I feel anxious, if I do this ritual the anxiety stops. Therefore everytime I am anxious over anything if I complete a ritual it will control it. I am now anxious because I can't do things I have to do because of the rituals getting in the way. Oh no, I feel bad again. I have to carry out a new ritual to stop feeling like this. And so it continues.

This is what I found. Unfortuantely for me, it's everyday stuff you have to do, which doesn't help me at all.

We'd gone away in June and somehow I hadn't warned my friend (despite telling him ages ago and him asking me something about it) that I need routine. He'd worked out at some point I was becoming rather frustrated (I have a wonderful habit of not saying something and pretending everything's fine. I need to learn I have to say something) and he said something to his friends.

That, plus another issue which really upset me, lead to my OCD returning. In short, it's an issue with hand washing. I've got a minor issue with the skin on one hand now.

Getting bit and having to apply Savlon (this just feels horrible) hasn't helped one bit.

just told shelter to bog off
wanted me to come in tomorrow morning at 9am
currently working 5 days a week which is hard enough

Have also told her I was really enjoying a day free of HA stresses
  • Trust Little Sod, Katy! If he thinks he should be there than he is probably ok!

It is a pain isn't it, Indie? It is hard to explain to people how something as simple as opening your front door can mean a whole host of rituals before you can do it. Plus you know how silly it sounds and feel like an idiot explaining it! I do anyway.

Ugh, no you can't do that, Melly. Well done for saying no. You need a day to regroup and get your strength back up again.
